We found this place in the middle of a rain storm. The staff welcomed us. We ordered pizza. It was great. We ended up eating there several times especially since we were also staying at their hotel-- Hotel Luz de Luna. It is a family operation. Food is prepared as you order it not in advance. Would recommend it.

Absolutely the best place we've eaten at in the Dominical/Uvita area! The pizza was delicious and the staff was incredible! We loved the feel of the place and the arroz con pollo was amazing as well! We will definitely be eating here again before our trip is over!

The power was out in our little town of Uvita, bit La Fogata was still putting out their delicious pizza from their wood burning oven. We dined by candlelight and the wait staff took it all in stride, serving pizza and beverages with flashlights. Loved it!

Very nice server & good pizza. They have a pretty large menu, which we found nice. They take US dollars and the menu is in both English and Spanish.

The restaurant has amazing fung shei. They have artisan beers as well as local beers. We were given our beers in cans and the pizzas were average. But we would go back, just for the atmosphere and try something different on the menu.

I've had better pizza, better service, better wine in many world class cities, but this is Costa Rica. The Pizza, service and wine where excellent and for what it was and where you are, and they try very hard to do their best. Uptight travelers have far too many expectations sometimes and that is why they should never leave their... More

Went to Pizzeria La Fogata a few times and each time it was great. The pizza is not exactly the best I've ever had but way better than I expected in the little town of Uvita. The salads are great and the lasagne was really good. They're also very generous with their wine. I thought the prices were really reasonable... More

Arrived hungry to an empty restaurant, looked beautiful with lovely gardens. Gazed hungrily at the menus, took our time trying to decide just which pizza would be the very best. Then we waited, and waited, made eye contact with the waitress. Waited some more. None of the 3 uniformed staff members hanging around behind the bar would come take our... More
