I wasn't surprised by anything!

I had heard about Jamie's and even heard somebody say it was the best meal they had eaten (I presume they meant in Baga). My starter was excellent Parma ham and melon the clay backed chicken that followed was ok but dessert was dire! Strawberry. Pavlova! Chopped strawberries (who has heard of... read more

We have eaten in Jamies 3 times whilst holidaying in Baga and it's always been lovely. Set in nice surroundings with lovely staff. Can highly recommend the shrimp cakes and the duck confit, beautiful! Although it's not my favourite restaurant it certainly is great value for money.

The last couple of times in Peters we were attacked by flies, as in , in the drinks, on the food etc, this time it was fine. The food is good and the service is pretty good too, it's fresh and hot

We went here for the first time last year and we were really surprised. We tend to avoid Baga as its always busy with the road side and a few places have disappointed us. We always find the better resturants just outside Baga but this is one of those exceptions with excellent food, great staff, and food which anyone can... More

This place is worth a visit. There are other famous brand restaurants around and hence this place gets overshadowed. But if one takes the trouble of visiting this place, I bet you will have no regrets. The food is just awesome and service impeccable. The conti dishes are great. The deserts are also good.

We had not planned to visit Jamies this year after the no smoking debacle of last year, but we found ourselves walking by, and decided to try our luck. We were really pleased to hear they now have a quite separate and well signposted no smoking area. The food is truly fabulous and the service is excellent. We visited on... More

We went on spec for dinner fortunately there was room to fit us in,we were seated and offered mosquito spray for our legs etc,a nice touch. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere with subdued lighting and quiet background music. We had tempura vegetables and battered onion rings for starters which were both nice and hot with crispy batter, then fillet steak and risotto... Yes I'm Disappointed that we were only told about Jamie's just before returning to England, we were advised to try the Fillet steak, 3 out of four did have the steak & it was beautifully cooked & presented with Gratin Potatoes & the price was much cheaper than a Junk food takeaway in the Uk. The staff were lovely &... More

I was encouraged by friends to have an evening meal at Jamies and it quickly became evident that they knew that I would not be disappointed. Very friendly & helpful staff, a good selection available on the menu, prompt service and very, very good food.
