My favourite place in the world!!

We spent 2 weeks in Baga and spent most of our holiday at this shack. Our waiter Reddy was fantastic, looked after us so well, nothing was too much trouble, Reddy even suggested meals we might like which were not even on the menu, and every meal was beautiful. The drinks are always served very cold... read more

Fantastic beach shack on Baga. We were walking along the shore when a cheeky little chap named Raj came to say hello and offered us a sun lounger and a drink. it was our first day so we said we would be back after a walk. we came back later on and we were not dissapointed. Raj was a true... More

We ate quite a few times here. Not the most impressive looking place, but the food and service was exceptional. We enjoyed watching the world go by after our meal, mainly what was going on on the road!!!

Good atmosphere with no loud music and plenty of sun beds. Staff and service good. Indian food good but continental offerings very average.

Very less quantity and the food is expensive. I am from Hyderabad and we hope that they improve because it was hardly sufficient. The staff was cooperative but the Wi-Fi wasn't working.

We only visited once and wish we had found Shining Star sooner. Our hotel was about 4km from the beach and roughly equidistant from Baga and Calangute. Our first visit was to Baga beach which was busy but we weren't nagged too much, the second we started from Calangute during Holi which was a nightmare with drunk men all over... More

We arrived in baga for our first ever visit and needed to change money. We walked from our hotel into baga and decided to walk along the beach and see what was there. We got pestered all the way down the front. So we finally decided to come off the beach and change our money. We walked past the shining... More

What a wonderful place, Chilled beer, food, massages, sea and sand all in the same place. The service is great with your own personal waiter for your time here. Reddy was ours and he is brilliant. We found the shack by accident and reddy was really helpful in where we could change money on our first day, since then we... More

I liked this place which i ventured in hot sunny day. I lazily lied sipping my drinks and enjoying food, while some local lady gave me full body massage and tattoo.

We went there at about 9pm, and the entire beach side was lined with candle-lit tables. We took the first table from the beach, and just sitting there watching/listening to the waves was a particularly romantic experience. Coming to food, I had a grilled squid platter (squid grilled in your choice of sauces + butter rice + jacket potatoes) while... More
