Noir did not came up on my radar until a recent browse of Urbanspoon. Being French, my cricles tell me where to get a good dinner and would generally stick to recommendations but I decided to give Noir a try for a romantic dinner. Despite not being operated by French people, you can tell there is some serious experience there,... More

I've been to this restaurant several times and it never fails to disappoints. My appetizer always starts with their oyster champagne granite, which is delicately refreshing and delicious. Noir continues to deliver consistantly wonderful food at good value with faultless service.

We each had the degustation menu with paired wines. It was excellent. Service was good, price was good as well. We'll go back.

My wife and I enjoyed a most pleasant Sunday lunch at Noir as part of a foursome. I partook of the four-course Menu du Jour degustation menu, while my wife opted for the three-course alternative. We both started with a salad of heritage tomatoes and avocado purée, which set the scene, as the tomatoes were just the right firmness and... More

We arrived on a Friday night for a romantic dinner for 2. Drinks and an Amuse bouche arrived promptly and service remained good all evening. The French Champagne had been recently opened and had plenty of bubble. As it was a special occasion, we opted for the Degustation Menu ($80/ head) which was hit and miss, some plates delicious, others... More

We arrived here late in the evening sitting and we were accommodated without a hassle. Food was lovely, the fish had a nice crisp skin which is a must and kangaroo fillet tender. Sadly they had ran out of the souffle (or maybe the chef was ready to knock off) but we can't hold that against them. A very peasant... More

Why does Noir have to make life so difficult? They offer a four course lunch special for $35 (which included a glass of wine), a full degustation for $80 (add $55 for matched wines) or you can just go your own way and order a la carte. And as all these options look great, how the hell are you supposed... More

We had the most enjoyable dining experience eating at this charming restaurant. The innovative food, great wine list, superb service and pleasant helpful staff made this a place to definitely recommend. It is pricey but well worth it and the I must say that the spanner crab linguine with chilli and garlic will linger in my memory for a long,... More

Delightful French restaurant for a nice cosy dinner - great presentation, good food and good service. It was a busy night so one can forgive the staff for not making too much of an effort to chat with the patrons (which I hope they would do in less busy periods to make for a friendly and not just good customer...
