Beautiful food, scenic surrounding and very pleasant staff. We sat at a table in the balcony overlooking the beautiful valley. What a serene surrounding, saw a few colourful rosellas too. The food was delicious and creative. We had the recommended wine for our dishes, which was really lovely. I ordered a vegetarian sweet potato and lentil croquettes. The Jerusalem artichokes... More

Just had lunch at Shantell Vineyard & Winery. My main course was the best dish served to me in a restaurant for months. I ordered Prawn/Scallop Lemon infused Risotto and it was perfectly delicious. Before ordering I enquired that the seafood was not incorporated into the risotto and it came perfectly seared and cooked and placed on top of the... More

Our first visit to Shantell was earlier this year with friends who'd chosen the venue. Have to confess having seen some of the reviews we were a little sceptical. We left with all four of us having thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We opted for the Shantell Sharing Plate to start, a variety of cold meats, marinated vegetables with bread and... More

We booked lunch at Shantell for the second time last week. The food in my opinion is excellent. After the shared platter for entrée, I had the Seared Langoustine & Scallops and my wife had the Snapper Crusted with Baharat Spice Mix, both were delicious, There are large windows all around the restaurant with fantastic views over the vineyard and... A lively group of us visited for lunch on a weekday. Beautiful restaurant and setting. We walked into a deathly quiet wine tasting and restaurant area and were perfunctorily attended to. Zero conversation from staff, no interaction at all. Robotic. Uncomfortably quiet, no music, not even a "Hello. How are you today". No one interested in explaining anything at all... More

Loved the food and the wine. We had 2 vegitarians dining and they were extremely impressed with the food. Not a large restaurant which is a bonus as it is more intimate. We have lunched several time in the Yarra Valley and this is one of the best.

We visited this winery over the Easter weekend. It is well worth a visit, the wine maker, Shan was our waiter and was happy to have a chat about his winery and wines. There is a good selection for lunch we had chicken, ox tail, beef and lamb all are highly recommended. The cheese platter and coffee panacotta finished off... More

Nice views of winery but plates are really small serves and not very tasty. The wine is smAll serving too. It is quite far from rest of wineries and very small restaurant.

We booked lunch at Shantell for the second time a couple of weeks ago, and took some friends as we had been quite impressed on our first visit (when we hadn't booked, but they accommodated us on the outside terrace). It is a little difficult to find as there is only one sign on the road before you get to... More
