Description: The South Okanagan has gained a well deserved reputation as a desirable destination for tourists seeking an agricultural and culinary experience. The Sonora Room at Burrowing Owl Estate Winery features prominently in this regard with its epicurean excellence, superb service, relaxed style and scenic splendour. The restaurant overlooks 146 acres of picturesque vineyard from the patio or inside the warm and inviting dining room. The philosophy of the talented culinary team is to embrace the opportunity to showcase many of the South Okanagan’s local producers. Dishes are created that utilize an array of local organic produce, seasonal fruits and artisan cheeses, and pair perfectly with Burrowing Owl's award winning wines. The exclusive wine list includes a selection of Burrowing Owl's current vintages, and library wines that are no longer publicly available for sale. Creative cuisine, impeccable service and a beautiful venue highlight the great agricultural diversity of the region.

Although not a big wine fan, we were recommended to go to this place by our in-laws for a little anniversary lunch. Boy, were we not disappointed! Although the prices are on the high side, this restaurant is situated beautifully on the hill overlooking the vineyards with an amazing view. Inside and out, you get an amazing atmosphere. I had... I have been to the Sonora room a couple of times and it definitely maintains the highest standard for food preparation in the lower half of the Valley, perhaps in all of it. Their kitchen folk know what they are doing and have been given the freedom to use excellent materials and the time they need for a good presentation.... More

The setting was perfect overlooking the vineyards when you can feel the heat of the mid day sun. Our food was fantastic and our friend from Toronto could not believe how beautiful the area was (his first time to the Okanagan).

We stopped here on our trip through wine country to enjoy a delicious lunch. The terrace was exactly what we were looking for and the view would be lovely on a day without smoke from the forest fires. The tables are placed in such a way that you don't feel overcrowded, a common problem for most terraces on a busy... More

Our meal was superb and the service was efficient and friendly and very professional. We sat on the deck and enjoyed lovely views, but the deck seating is first come first served so no guarantee a table will be available. We arrived at 6:15 pm and got the last table on the deck.

We absolutely loved our meal in this restaurant, we ordered a table full of starters and enjoyed every bite. We had breads and spreads, a salad, the antipasto plate - the food was fresh, full of flavours, even the kid's pasta was outstanding. This place is not cheap but well worth it if you feel like treating yourself. The views... More

The outside patio is the place to sit at this location, the menu is terrific and service is great. You can see the sunset as you dine, and look out over the vineyards.

enjoyed a beautiful meal at Burrowing Owl last week with our friends. There were no patio tables left but they were more than accommodating by setting us up at the bar for a drink while we waited for a table to become available. Their library wine selection was excellent and the 2005 Pinot Noir was outstanding. The best part of... More

Food not cheap but one of the best rib dinners we every ate. Definitely worth a stopover should you be in Osoyoos.
