Really good beer and ambiance, decent pub food

The lunch menu was pretty standard pub food. The food was good and fresh, but nothing unique. The service was small town slow. The beer from Firehall Brewing was yummy, and the building was nice. You can watch them making beer in the downstairs.

Had supper there and it was just ok. Portion sizes were a bit small. I had the salmon and it was good. There Caesar(the drink) was ok, but I've had better. Was disappointed that the Tv's were not working. From sask. And a riders game was playing and would have loved to have watched it. this is the third time... More

Very sloppy poor service. There seemed to be enough staff but none of them appeared to eager to serve anyone. Slow slow slow. We just had a burger and an order of wings. The burger was pedestrian and the wings were absolutely swimming in a bottle of Franks hot sauce. We had enjoyed this place before but now I would... More

Went here for lunch while on vacation. Its not the place to eat outdoors because the highway traffic affects the ability to try to have a good conversation. Our meals were rather salty, too. Not planning to return here anytime soon.

we were a group of 6 adults and a sleeping baby we were not accommodated as they would not put 2 tables together. the restaurant only had a couple other tables so they were not too busy. totally unimpressed by the lack of customer service.

Ordered a steak sandwich cooked medium it came to well done but it was ok for being over cooked, ordered a pitcher of beer for the four of us and it took quite awhile before we got it, I almost was thinking she forgot as it wasn't that busy.

So we tried this place twice in three weeks first visit I had lasagna and found the sauce tasted burned. I didn't eat it but didn't complain. Hubby enjoyed his meal. This time I tried the Kalamari dinner. It wasn't the best Kalamari ever tasted as the menu boasts. Was more chewy than I am accustomed to. Again hubby enjoyed... More

On a touring visit to Oliver we wanted lunch and decided on Pappa`s Firehall Bistro. You really can`t miss it with the firehose drying tower still in place ( don`t know if it`s genuine). They have placed vintage pictures through out the restaurant which are nice to view. The staff was friendly and service was good. I ordered the calamari,... More

Noisy, poor service, overdone chicken. Highway traffic made conversation on the patio difficult. Beverages delivered to the table slopped a bit, but no attempt to wipe them up.
