This place has to have the best fish burger that I have ever had. It was so good that we went back again, and discovered that it was closed over the Canada Day weekend. We will likely be back

While not young myself, enjoyed the vibes of the virtually full place early in the evening. On a weekday! Good variety on the menu. Like Guinness? Try their dark stuff!

The Firehall Bistro is a good choice for a good-value lunch when you don't want to splurge a winery restaurant. Locate in "downtown" Oliver, the restaurant has pub-like atmosphere with seating inside or on a patio next to the street with more truck traffic than you might expect. The BLT and club sandwiches are good choices, with plentiful ingredients and... More

We moved to OLiver in 2010 and have eaten at this restaurant numerous times for the good food, reasonably priced and good service. We understand that the restaurant will be closing at the end of the summer and SORRY to see it leave. It will be a BIG HOLE in the food places to eat in Oliver. To us it... More

The best thing about this place is the double IPA scorpion beer. It's almost worth going to just for this. The green salad was fresh and good however, the halibut burger was very mediocre - could be improved with a better bun and how about adding a little zest to the sauce? Fish itself also very so-so. My partner had... More

"Don't want to rush you but the 7 o'clock reservation for this table has arrived," said our server. What? We were a table of six having reserved for 5:30pm. Wine was still being drunk plus a coffee. No queries re dessert or menu re same. We have been to this Bistro many times - food always good and served on... More

Ordered French onion soup and meal. Was hoping for soup first... Waited over 45 minutes and both items arrived at the same time! Food so so, service friendly but seemed very confused.

While we were staying Oliver we decided to try out the Firehall Bistro and we were not disappointed. I had a very good smoke house stout and huge tasty burger which was big enough to share between two people! It was a little to cool sit on the patio but that would be a good location to be when it...
