Ten miles from Cardiff, in the historic market town of Cowbridge, you'll find Huddarts Restaurant. It's worth the trip. Inside the beautiful Georgian house, dating back to 1756 you'll find a delighful intimate restaurant boasting a selection of A La Carte dishes with a marriage of old time charm and modern splendour. Since 1996 all produce has been sourced as much as possible locally and prepared on the premises by owner chef Andrew Huddart, front of house is looked after by his wife Julie.

A lovely owner! The food was very good and of high quality. Service was spot on. A bit pricey, but I suppose this is what you expect from dining in Cowbridge. Overall a pleasant experience!

This is a traditional fine dining restaurant with white tablecloths. It is on Cowbridge High Street and convenient if you are shopping. We visited for lunch without a booking. The service is professional and prompt. The starter of melon, ham and beetroot sauce was good but I am unsure that all the ingredients worked together. The main course of chicken... More

Friends and I have been visiting Huddart's for a number of years and the service has always been exceptionally high and the food nothing short of amazing. I have never had a bad dish or meal! It is so refreshing to take your time to talk with friends without loud music or distractions in the background and be free to... More

First visit in 2011 for a large family meal the night before our wedding was very enjoyable indeed. Second visit recently (April 2015) revealed nothing had changed - excellent food and even better service. Hope to come back sooner next time ...

An impromptu lunch 'date' but as always, a warm welcome without being too fussy! Lovely food, a nice choice (any menu that make you wonder just what to have is good!) and attentive staff is a good combination. I welcomed that you wasn't asked every few minutes "how is everything" as the service was top-on and was left to enjoy... More

We enjoyed a really delightful Sunday lunch here recently to celebrate my husband's birthday. The service was exceptional and the food options and presentation were great and importantly it tasted as good as it looked. The desserts were sublime.

The food and service at this restaurant is always amazing. The owner is front of house and her husband is the chef. Lovely crystal glasses and linen tablecloths and napkins. Lovely for a special occasion or if you fancy being spoilt. Bookings are essential unless you wish to go early on in the week.

We have lived in Brussels for many years so we are spoiled for great restaurants. But whenever we visit Wales we try and make it to Huddards. We first discovered it before we had children, then with the children and grandparents. Huddards is superb and has never disappointed. Excellent food, first-class service, a great atmosphere. Can't wait for our next... More
