Ten miles from Cardiff, in the historic market town of Cowbridge, you'll find Huddarts Restaurant. It's worth the trip. Inside the beautiful Georgian house, dating back to 1756 you'll find a delighful intimate restaurant boasting a selection of A La Carte dishes with a marriage of old time charm and modern splendour. Since 1996 all produce has been sourced as much as possible locally and prepared on the premises by owner chef Andrew Huddart, front of house is looked after by his wife Julie.

Really nice evening...good value

Nice place Huddarts. very modest entrance leads to a small restaurant with limited tables nicely spaced. Service was very attentive, and wine well advised by someone who obviously knows their stuff. All in all, really good food (in my case a beautifully timed rare steak),

Very nice place in Cowbridge. Made very welcome and throughout the meal the service was attentive and never too much. Spot on in fact. The meal was excellent with my starter (prawns) very well done and full of taste. The pork for main was also excellent but the star of the show was the dessert, Limoncello cheesecake. Huddart's also serve... More

We turned up without a reservation and not in our finest but were welcomed and shown to a nice table. Service was excellent as was the food as reported elsewhere. I had duck salad and guinea fowl main which were both excellent. Price for two with two courses & two drinks was £65, great value, highly recommended

I had the a la carte menu on a weekday evening. Very good value. Excellent food and good service. Pleasant atmosphere and very comfortable chairs. A good choice for a special occasion.

Excellent family run restaurant, well worth a visit. The ambience, fine table settings, service and most of all the food, are all excellent. Canapés were delicious. The vegetarian choice was lovely and the venison was melt in the mouth. Desserts really were also exceptional. Will visit again when in the area.

A lovely owner! The food was very good and of high quality. Service was spot on. A bit pricey, but I suppose this is what you expect from dining in Cowbridge. Overall a pleasant experience!

This is a traditional fine dining restaurant with white tablecloths. It is on Cowbridge High Street and convenient if you are shopping. We visited for lunch without a booking. The service is professional and prompt. The starter of melon, ham and beetroot sauce was good but I am unsure that all the ingredients worked together. The main course of chicken... More

Friends and I have been visiting Huddart's for a number of years and the service has always been exceptionally high and the food nothing short of amazing. I have never had a bad dish or meal! First visit in 2011 for a large family meal the night before our wedding was very enjoyable indeed. Second visit recently (April 2015) revealed nothing had changed - excellent food and even better service. Hope to come back sooner next time ...
