Ten miles from Cardiff, in the historic market town of Cowbridge, you'll find Huddarts Restaurant. It's worth the trip. Inside the beautiful Georgian house, dating back to 1756 you'll find a delighful intimate restaurant boasting a selection of A La Carte dishes with a marriage of old time charm and modern splendour. Since 1996 all produce has been sourced as much as possible locally and prepared on the premises by owner chef Andrew Huddart, front of house is looked after by his wife Julie.

Lovely x

The service was respectful, polite and professional, the table set traditionally, with taste and style, the restaurant was busy but calm and relaxed and the food was excellent, well cooked, beautifully presented and delicious. The wine was excellent too! We shall return.

I have been to this establishment many times now and will continue for many more. The food is excellent the people are lovely especially the young lady who serves me but what makes it so special is the place itself it is like a wonderfull oasis of peace and calm amongst an increasingly mad world. I will look forward to... More

This has become our family’s new favourite restaurant for celebrations or just a get together is an excuse to go. The food is absolutely top quality and beautifully presented. It’s clear that the chef and the restaurant take a real interest in providing exceptional meals. Also, the service is charming, the location is charming and the ambience is calm, friendly... More

This is a lovely fine dining restaurant in the High Street. We had never been before, & booked it from the reviews on here. Very welcoming staff & proper linen tablecloths. We had the set lunch menu which is excellent value. The food was delicious and the service was perfect. Portions are large & we were too full for dessert.... More

After reading the reviews on here we decided to try this restaurant on a friday evening. On entering was greeted warmly and shown to our table. Small place but table spread out so you did not feel as if you were sitting on someone else's table. They give you a small appetizer for free ( nice touch) while they serve... More

Lovely small restaurant in Cowbridge. 6 of us went on a Friday evening and the food is unbelievably good. Extremely well presented, innovative and very tasty. The portions are just about right. The decor could do with a refresh but that is the only very picky negative.

Another Sunday Lunch and what a great job the team at Huddarts did. Front of house is well taken care of by the proprietor and her attentive but not overbearing staff made us feel welcome throughout. Prompt drink service, excellent meals (the beef dinner is superb!) from starter through to desert and a unhurried manner allow you to relax over... More

At £20 per head for Sunday lunch, you expect it to be half decent and this surpassed that, it was excellent! Arriving twenty minutes earlier than planned we were greeted with a smile that continued until we left. The food was just delicious. I can eat with the best of them and I struggled with dessert. The food was clearly... More
