We had been to the hotel previously for a wedding and enjoyed the food so decided to try out the restaurant. It is very quaint with arched brick walls and has a tranquil atmosphere. Waitress was very friendly and attentive. The meal and service was good - I had fish and chips and the portion was huge. There was a... More

The food was average, the service was not wonderful. I had to find the waiter myself. OTOH it wasn't expensive. OK for a snack. There is validated parking behind the hotel.

Came for Sunday lunch with my husband and toddler. Great food all round - including my veggie option - and not badly priced but I had an offer via the Town & County Hotels Loyalty Card (worth getting if you're local)

We stopped off here to meet friends after being told it was a good eating place in Cowbridge. Unfortunately we must have got them on a bad night as food was not particularly good. Though the atmosphere and staff were good.

We enjoyed a family Sunday lunch for 7 in the cellar restaurant. Would have scored five stars overall but the service was marginally off, probably due to a number of events running concurrently at the venue. Nonetheless, a great meal and the timings did allow us to sip a little more between courses so it's not all bad. Sunday lunch... More

It was a delight to be served our Sunday lunch by charming and helpful young staff, nothing was to much trouble for them. The food was delicious, the meat was tender and tasty, the Yorkshire pudding and veg were beautifully presented, and the gravy was really tasty. There was a varied selection of delicious home made deserts. A truly enjoyable... More

We attended here for an evening meal during the Easter weekend and the food was faultless. We had starters and mains but we're sadly too full for desserts. The menu had something for everyone and was great value for the quality. You can sit in the bar or cellar restaurant, if you can choose go for the cellar as it's... More

Service: Staff were absolutely cluless. We waited 5 minutes in an empty restaurant to be seated. Several incorrect items were brought to the table throughout the meal and dirty cutlery was the final insult. Food : Sunday lunch - roast beef was tough and the pork was dry and tasteless. The desserts even managed to dissapoint and most were bought... More
