I came here for a small meal after work. I paid with vouchers and when waiting for my change I was told they didn't give change for vouchers. I said not to worry and that I needed to buy some more vouchers assuming they would take the amount they owed me off the vouchers. They didn't. I asked what was... More

My wife is Spanish and our daughter loves Tapas so Bar44 seemed the perfect choice. We had booked a table which was probably just as well. The dining room is relatively small and most of the tables were taken. The menu was exactly as you would expect from a Tapas menu (although we would have loved to see Gambas Pil... More

Had a fabulous meal last week at Bar 44. Portions are quite small but extremely flavoursome and beautifully presented. Will be back, but not for cocktails as their prices are pretty expensive!

Visited here for the first time. My husband and I were very pleased and had an excellent lunch. Lots of choice of tapas dishes, 'hot' pots, meats, fish, veges etc. Lovely flavours, rich spicy tastes with peppers, garlic and Mediterranean veges, silky in sparing olive oil. Gambas a la Plancha delicious. All plates beautifully executed and presented. Busy for a... More

We went to Bar 44 on Saturday 30th August and enjoyed a delightful light lunch with 8 shared tapas. The service was first class from the moment we arrived - Kerry's name was on the bill. The tapas included baked torta, crab tostados, chickpeas, chorizo Iberico, squid, tortilla, and jambon Iberico. The quality was excellent and authentic and frankly better... More

The food was okay but have had much better for the price .Triple cooked chips excellent but several other dishes came out tepid, I understand that is the nature of some tapas but felt these should have been hotter. Service was absymal, not a single time we were asked how our food was/whether we needed anything, it was incredibly slow... More

Not many tables available if wanting to eat; had to wait nearly an hour for a table. it is a very vibrant & noisy venue and at... More
