Interesting pub. I went for a meal there a few months ago, we were seated next to the main fireplace so it felt quite relaxed and cosy. I would visit again, but only once in a while as it's quite expensive.

We did not eat here but it was quite busy. We had two glasses of red wine but it was extremely expensive compared with other places in the town.

Great place, great menu and service, lovely garden area too, never fails, unless too busy that I can't get a table

Popped in with my partner for a late Sunday lunch. We were met with with a warm welcome and as it wasn't very busy invited to sit anywhere we wanted. The waitress was genuinely friendly and very attentive and service was prompt and very efficient. My partner had a beef Sunday lunch which was perfectly presented and I had fish... More

Visit was for Sunday lunch. Beef was a bit tough and the vegetables over cooked. I did love the childrens pack for colouring.

We visited here mid week and we were served and seated quickly. The choice of food is good and there are also daily specials. My partner ordered lasagne and I had salmon. My meal was nice, a generous portion of salmon with new potatoes. No veg, but some watercress garnish. Some fresh veg would have been nice, but perhaps this... More

Called in midweek for an early dinner - food was good and the staff were friendly. The open fire in the bar area was very pleasant as well!

Visited with my mother and baby. Lovely relaxing atmosphere. Top notch friendly service. Two course lunchtime menu. Starter very very tasty. Enjoyed both courses. Well presented. Washed down with a lovely glass of wine by the open fire.

Lovely meal, just what was needed on a Saturday lunch time, however we have called there in the passed and they seem to try too hard with their menu in the evenings instead of keeping it pub grub as well.

Visited one Sunday for a Sunday lunch and the food was very bland! The roasts were dry and flavourless, the veg had no thought but into them and was thrown on a plate, the gravy had no taste and it was all under seasoned. Go else where for a cheaper and more tasty meal! Have to say staff were very... More
