Tasteless and massively over priced. None of the dishes were seasoned and my lamb starter was disgusting. The manager seemed very sorry that I did not enjoy my starter, naturally you would then think this would be taken off our bill... It wasn't. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw how much the bill came to. Safe to say... More

After a rather long day, 6 weary workers stumbled across this place late on a Wednesday evening. As we hadn't booked, we worried as we ventured in that there may be no room at the inn, luckily we were quickly led to our table. The service was immaculate and all 3 courses hit the spot, look forward to a return... More

We ate here last night for "date night", so booked a table on the day. Arriving at 2030, the restaurant was obviously busy, with tables still being filled with a second sitting after our arrival. Service was quick throughout, and staff polite and enthusiastic. The menu was tempting,a nice selection and we both went for 3 courses. The food was... More

Good restaurant situated in the main road, cosy environment with roaring fire on a cold February night. Other than one large party there was only one other table occupied so service was swift. The menu was not extensive, which we always prefer. My scallop starter attracted my wife to take a sample portion which we both enjoyed. She enjoyed her... More

We ate dinner in this restaurant and the food was excellent. The staff were very attentive without being overpowering. The decor is also very relaxing. Infact all in all a very pleasant experience. If you are in Cowbridge make sure you have either lunch or dinner here.

Had lunch at this restaurant a couple of weeks ago and it didn't dissapoint. In fact as it had been quite a while since we had eaten here I think we had forgotten how lovely the place is. The food was absolutely delicious and the service excellent. The service at The Market Place will take a lot of beating and... More

I booked a table for 11 people for a surprise 60th birthday meal for my mother in law. The service was impeccable, the staff were courteous, helpful, friendly and polite and a pleasure to deal with. The food was outstanding and the atmosphere wonderful. I couldn't ask for more, a top class restaurant with wonderful staff. Thank you for making... More
