We were a party of 20 and not a single complaint. Very attractively presented food (I had a caramelised onion tart, slow cooked pork belly, and a frangipani tart.) The first two courses in particular were of a very high standard. The pork belly served with a stylish twist of crackling and apple that had a hint of treacle. Really... More

We called for lunch on a Thursday at about 2pm. The place was very quiet with only one other table being taken. We went for the two courses for £15. Grandson chose the vegetarian main - mushroom ravioli with feta and then a very chocolatey dessert. Hubby and I both had the cod wrapped in ham starter then I the... More

Went with a group, service was a bit slow and the celeriac soup was a bit sharp for my taste . Staff friendly but will return on a future visit to cowbridge.

Mum hosted her 70th birthday lunch here for 30 people. Service was out of this world. Food and setting arrangements beautiful. Recommend The market place for both intimate dining and larger social occasions.

Very pleasant varied surroundings, excellent attentive staff. The food was very good, the highlight being the range of extremely tasty puddings, quite to die for!! Lovely evening. You are advised to book as very, very busy!

We took my parents to celebrate their Diamond wedding anniversary, and had a lovely time. The staff were very attentive and helpful, the food was excellent all round, the champagne was properly served. We will definitely come again.
