Lovely lunch!

My Dad and I visited the Red Fox quite by accident and we are glad we did! We were driving to one of his old haunts The Barley Mow but didn't realise it had closed. We stopped at the Red Fox and were given a warm welcome. Food was delicious (I had the foxy burger and he had sirloin steak)... read more

Called in her on a house hunting trip for lunch. Lovely place and friendly and warm. Food was good and served quickly and at a reasonable price. Plenty of choice. We will be back.

I visited The Red Fox many years ago, so curiosity got the better of me and we had a lovely dinner here tonight. As soon as we stepped into this warm, inviting pub we were approached and welcomed. I'd booked a table 40 mins before and lucky that I did, because for a Monday is was busy. The fire was... More

We had reserved a 1.30 sitting which was a wise move because of the popularity of the pub. The welcome from staff was as warm and friendly as the log burning fire. My granddaughter had a meal from the kids menu, while my husband had a roast pork while I had a beef dinner. Both were excellent with a varied... More

Well what a find! Just outside Cowbridge is the smart village of Penllyn and the Red Fox is in the centre of the village. On entering the pub we were greeted like regulars - strange how something as silly yet simple as this can make such a difference! All of the serving staff were friendly and helpful and anxious to... This is our favourite place to eat. It is a friendly pub with a lovely cosy atmosphere. The speed of service is good, not too slow and not too rushed, however busy they are. There is a good selection of home cooked food . Portion sizes are good and there is a good selection of fresh vegetables with the Sunday... More

A friendly and welcoming pub. We had booked a table (which is advised; we tried to come here the week before without one and could not get in) and were shown to it. We both chose a Sunday roast; turkey breast for myself and lamb for my wife. Both were excellent, served hot, with a good selection of fresh vegetables.... More

Great lunch time food. Very friendly staff and good beer. The ambience is very good and a nice real fire. Next plan is to try Sunday lunch!

Had a wonderful evening at a The Red Fox. The standard of service was very friendly and professional. The pub was very busy but this had no impact on the service which was a credit to the staff....well worth a visit. Food was lovely!
