Much nicer than it looks from the outside!

We ate in the bar because I'm a dog! The staff were really welcoming and the food is really well cooked pub grub. The wine list is a cut above the norm for a pub too. I found the smartie machine pretty hard to break into - but that was the only downside.

Lovely food good prices. Such a warm and friendly atmosphere. Its a family run pub and they are always happy and smiling. The food is lovely and to my delight even do a vegan option! But I can also say in my pre-vegan days we used to eat here a lot and the Crème brûlée is to die for! They... More

Called in for lunch today, I had the steak and ale pie and my husband had the cod in batter, the food was excellent, very generous portions, would have liked a sweet but were too full. A lovely old building, very cosy and the landlady and staff made us very welcome. Highly recommended for a visit, have been told the... More

Have eaten traditional Sunday lunch here a couple of times and it is very tasty with good portion sizes. In addition you can select from the 'specials' board if you don't want a roast dinner. The staff and owners very friendly and welcoming. Good atmosphere and dining room bright and cheery.

The nicest staff ever and the food is always beautiful! I always intend to try a dessert, but I'm too full after the mains! Great quality food and portion size, lovely, cosy interior. Please do not change, you're our favourite :)

We use this restaurant regularly for sunday lunch. The food is home cooked and allways good. The choice of meats is varied and a selection of veg is served in turines. As a regular, we are always made more than welcome. If you are planning to visit, it is better to make a reservation if you can as some times... More

Really friendly pub, log fire and really cosy. Food is always very good and service is second to none. Land lady is really friendly and always makes you feel very welcome, as do all her staff. We prefere to eat in the bar but there is a lovely restaurant. Its really busy so best to book before you go.

My Dad and I visited the Red Fox quite by accident and we are glad we did! We were driving to one of his old haunts The Barley Mow but didn't realise it had closed. We stopped at the Red Fox and were given a warm welcome. Food was delicious (I had the foxy burger and he had sirloin steak)... More
