Great value, food & service

We visited this pub for the first time and had a Sunday roast. We took our two young children and they were made to feel very welcome. The staff were really friendly, the food was tasty and good portions and we even got offered extra veg which was a nice touch. We will definitely be going back!

Been to the red fox on a few occasions and all times the food was lovely! The Sunday menu is exceptionally good. Quite expensive though but worth the price.

Had a very good New Years's Day meal here yesterday. Arrived early but the owners were very welcoming and friendly. Enjoyed a very good meal in a relaxed atmosphere. Will definitely visit again.

We booked a table for lunch on New Years Eve for 6 of the family and everyone of the party could not praise the quality of the food highly enough. The staff were also extremely friendly and helpful. I had not visited this pub/restaurant for a long time but I won't be leaving it so long next time.

We visited the Red Fox recently en route to a stop over in Cardiff. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we stepped inside the door. The place has a great ambience and the old matches it for quality. I couldn't resist the salted roast potatoes on the bar while ordering - absolutely stunning! Beware you Amy well... More

Good welcome and excellent home cooked food at its best. Not the easiest place to find but well worth the detour off the A 48 just outside Cowbridge on the way to Bridgend. The landlady greets all her guests with ' Hi Guys' and you feel at home.

The area around(and including)Cardiff has been described as 'an arid desert' for eateries by some reviewers, but here is a good pub with excellent pub grub in a village just outside Cowbridge. Mine host is a welcoming 'host' and the service is all that you would expect from a good local pub....the menu is not too extensive, but the attention to detail... More
