Again we followed the advice on tripadvisor and were thrilled that we did. A bit of a drive that is well worth the effort. A warm welcome was followed by delicious, simple, faire. Soups, Salads, Cakes & Drinks. Homemade cauliflower cheese soup was a standout, along with the various types of platter. They are based on cheese, meat or fish.... More

This beautifully renovated former crofter's house is like a breath of fresh air. The friendly and enthusiastic staff serve lovely homemade soups, main courses, bread and cakes as well as a good range of hot and cold drinks. There is the added bonus that you can sit and admire the art painted by proprietor, Elly Knight. We were only on... More

It might be small, but it is very welcoming and the food is simple but incredibly delicious and all home made and/ or grown locally. We've eaten unusual leaves, beautiful flowers, delicious pates and cheeses, wonderful homemade cakes - all washed down with their fanastic selection of loose leaf teas and other drinks. We enjoyed the first spur of a... More

Not the easiest place to find as its well and truely tucked up a single lane road but so worth venturing out too. Surprisingly incredibly busy but there are plenty of tables. The food and drink are delicious. If you are hungry have the huge scone with cream cheese and red onion chutney. Its yummy. And we so recommend the... More

With my wife and friends we went to the Red Roof Cafe Gallery last night (Friday 10th) there was a licensed bar and seating for around 40 people. We were entertained by 'Martin Stephenson and band'. What an fantastic night of inspired music, heart rending, funny and exceptionally talented musicians. No food but fed by shear talent and balls by... More

Had a wonderful lunch here this week. Beautiful cafe with lovely art. Simple but delicious lunches - a beautiful homemade soup and cheese scone. The tea selection is wonderful - had a lovely chai. Would love to have time to go to one of their 'raise the roof' music evenings. Maybe next time!

When it's pouring with rain you want a cafe that's light and warm and has a warm welcome. Oh and great cake! Red Roof is all this with lovely own blend tea and interesting art to look at while you eat and dry off. Worth a detour!

The staff are lovely, warm and welcoming, and the food and drink is excellent. You really get the home cooked taste and qualitt in the teas and coffees. The setting is stunning and the traditional music playing adds to the charm. The artwork is not a preferred style of mine, but that is merely persinal taste, and it does add... More
