Lovely!!! The food, the ambience and the people, all together make it a beautiful experience. A quaint off the road 'Red Roofed' cafe, managed by a team of wonderful people who's love for food and art is very obviously visible in the restaurant and on their platters. The food was fresh and the plates were decorated with fresh edible flowers... More

Really lovely cafe with great staff and fantastic art! Had the heather tea and a fruit scone with lemon and lime curd, both of which were delicious! Would definitely recommend and would love to go back.

We would not had found Red Roof had it not been recommended by those serving in the Skye Silver shop - and are we glad we took their recommendation. It is a unique and wonderful place well off the beaten track. The weather was wild, wet and windy when we visited but the warmth of the welcome more than made... More

Lovely little gem of a cafe, just off the main the road. Found it by chance and enjoyed the warm welcome, atmosphere and food on offer. Was very busy but we where able to get a table. Food was all homemade, great choice and really well presented. Would definitely recommend a visit.

Great little cafe, limited choice on menu (compared to other places generally) but what was offered was lovely. Homemade soup (delicious), variety of platters, all with homemade bread or cheese scones. Daughter had child's platter (cheeses, ham, chunky bread, apple, salad, oatcakes) eaten with gusto! Selection of lovely looking homemade cakes but we were too full to indulge.

Loved the friendly greeting followed by a quirky menu which was different without being pretentious. Hate cafés/eateries who only offer kids chicken nuggets and beans. My kids eat well and they loved it here. Cheeses were beautiful, edible flowers, bread and accompaniments were all a lovely touch, even the drinks were something different, cakes were mouth-watering and service top notch.... More

We first went here just after it opened and thought we had found a real gem. Subsequent years it was good, but this year it just wasn't up to its usual standard. We had hoped for a late lunch but having sat down we were told lunch wasn't served after three. We opted for cakes which were a bit tasteless.... More

This little cafe came highly recommended, so, whilst holidaying on the Isle of Skye, we decided to try it. It is situated in a remote location on a single track road.We were welcomed warmly on arrival . The small cafe was full-a good testament to an excellent eatery! We were shown to a table in 5 minutes, and ordered the... More
