What a fantastic place to find! Excellent coffee, an extensive and delicious range of teas and delicious cakes and light meals. The service was so friendly and welcoming, and the building itself is a croft which has been simply and sensitively remodelled into a cafe and gallery. certainly worth going out of your way for.

We drove for an hour from our cottage near Uig to get to this little gem of a place. Continuing our Isle of Skye seafood crusade, we both ordered the Fisherman's lunch - smoked salmon with mackerel pate, oatcakes and bread. The mackerel pate was divine - I'd never eaten it before, now I buy it all the time! The... More

We stopped for a cup of tea after a very long walk to Neist Point. It was wet & windy so we needed something warm. The Red Roof Cafe did not disappoint. My husband & I each had a lovely cake. I had a hot chocolate and he had his very first Chai tea, to which he has not become... More

We called in after a walk to Neist Point on a whim and were not disappointed. Fabulous baking and delicious light lunches served with a smile. Despite being a bit out of the way the red roof is visible for miles so make the effort, you will not be led wanting.

This was our second visit to Red Roof Cafe and yet again it did not disappoint! It was a windy wet day when we visited and the cafe is so warm and sheltering we didn't want to leave!! It is a little hidden away in the Glendale valley close to Neist Point (also worth a visit), but it's well worth... More

....is when you arrive late pm and there is nothing left. Good or bad.....depends on your point of view. The scone was great and the citrus curd tasty. The overall simplicity and freshness of the menu is impressive considering they source locally. However it is small and the acoustics are such that you hear every dish being rattled and the... More

We visited the Red Roof Cafe Gallery after being soaked to the skin on a walk back from the Coral Beach at Dunvegan. What a special little place, friendly, simple, sustainable. The scones were to die for, as were the lovely fish platter and children's platter with home-made oat cakes, artisan cheeses and breads, freshly picked salad leaves adorned with... More

This place is well worth the drive for lunch or afternoon tea. The site is charming and the story behind the restoration of this place is quite special in itself. The homebaked goodies were delicious and fair trade tea and coffee were really, really good. The staff were so warm and friendly. It is a perfect stop along the way... More

Not the easiest place to find: we were on the verge of giving up but were glad we persisted. Beautifully converted 'blackhouse', the space inside is light and airy. The staff were warm and welcoming - and the food's not bad either! Even though we visited rather late in the season, the place was still busy - a sure sign... More
