Fabulous wee cafe

This place is an absolute gem - totally agree with the other reviewers that it is a little out the way but well worth it. Fresh local food, delicious home made cakes and bread in a beautiful setting at reasonable prices. We stopped here on the way from the coral beaches to Neist point lighthouse - highly recommend the cheese... More

We were recommended to try this charming café/gallery for lunch. It is a little out-of-the-way, but absolutely worth the visit; get there early as tables are limited! The savoury platters are mouth-wateringly fresh and there is something to appeal to everyone. (There were edible flowers amongst my salad leaves, picked from a field I could see through the window -... More

Driving through the small roads of Isle of Skye on our way to Neist Point, we drove past a sign pointing at "The Red Roof Café". We didn't regret turning and stopping for coffee and cakes at this place. Absolutely stunning to find such a gem almost in the middle of nowhere at Skye. Lovely persons taking care of the... More

My husband and I visited this cosy place today for coffee. It is the first season for the new owners who are only 3 weeks into their new business. What a find!! Everything is home made including the bread and scones. Having recently sold our own bakery after 40 years in the trade the scones were rated by my hubby... More

The he staff is welcoming. We had a soup of a day that was really good and tea and coffee were excellent. The place is very small but pleasant.

Stopped in today through recommendation from friend. While somewhat off the beaten track, it is well worth the trip to the Red Roof. You’ll find friendly and relaxed staff in a cosy location. Food was exceptional – very fresh, locally sourced ingredients and well thought out combinations leading to a filling and great tasting lunch. If you’re looking for great... More

I and my husband visited Isle of Skye during Easter. The red Roof Cafe we visited three times! The cafe served delicious soups and fresh salads. All breads, cakes and scones were made the same day. They had every time also gluten free choices and that made me happy. The service was excellent and the staff seemed to enjoy working... More

The Laird's platter (for 2 sharing) was a great choice, with lovely meats, cheeses and fish,, along with a variety of chutneys and dips. The homemade bread was delicious, as were the little oatcakes. We loved the range of different hot chocolates on offer too, with some unusual flavours. Would definitely visit again.
