Great little cafe, limited choice on menu (compared to other places generally) but what was offered was lovely. Homemade soup (delicious), variety of platters, all with homemade bread or cheese scones. Daughter had child's platter (cheeses, ham, chunky bread, apple, salad, oatcakes) eaten with gusto! Selection of lovely looking homemade cakes but we were too full to indulge.

Loved the friendly greeting followed by a quirky menu which was different without being pretentious. Hate cafés/eateries who only offer kids chicken nuggets and beans. My kids eat well and they loved it here. Cheeses were beautiful, edible flowers, bread and accompaniments were all a lovely touch, even the drinks were something different, cakes were mouth-watering and service top notch.... More

We first went here just after it opened and thought we had found a real gem. Subsequent years it was good, but this year it just wasn't up to its usual standard. We had hoped for a late lunch but having sat down we were told lunch wasn't served after three. We opted for cakes which were a bit tasteless.... More

This little cafe came highly recommended, so, whilst holidaying on the Isle of Skye, we decided to try it. It is situated in a remote location on a single track road.We were welcomed warmly on arrival . The small cafe was full-a good testament to an excellent eatery! We were shown to a table in 5 minutes, and ordered the... More

We were recommended this little coffee shop/restaurant/gallery by an artist we spoke to in Glen Coe. It was on our way to Neist Point lighthouse so decided to stop. We are very glad we did. the gallery and work is excellent and the coffee shop and cakes were even better!! Would recommend you find time to visit as it was... More

Loved the red roof cafe. We visited on a really sunny day and it was such a bonus to be able to sit outside. We were the only ones there when we went (we arrived just as it opened) and the service was excellent. Food was nice. Really homely place to eat.

I thoroughly enjoyed my Mulligatawny soup with giant cheese scone. The others had the delicious ploughman's-type lunch with inventive salads/flowers and tasty oatcakes and home-made bread. Great value, too. Recommended.

There are no paninis here... but they have a fantastic "lairds lunch" which leaves you thoroughly stuffed with goodness. This is not a typical cafe other than they have coffee and art for sale on the walls, all the rest is special. The food is excellent and tasty, ethically sourced and well presented. The service is genuinely good, these people... More

We arrived hungry and thirsty having driven for hours through the highlands and stopping off at various places and art and craft centres. Given a warm welcome huge steaming bowls of soup, and reviving coffees. Very welcome after the driving rains .
