The best soup I ever had!

Red Roof is a small, cosy and warm restaurant! Not on the main road, we found it only because it was mentioned in our tourist book. No regrets at all as the staff is really nice, the music -from a local artist (Patsy Reid)- is pleasurable to hear while having lunch. All the ingredients they use... read more

This tiny charming cafe is in a beautiful location and the food on offer looks great; sadly however we didn't have the opportunity to try it. The cafe has around 6 tables, essentially in a very small shed, and was full when we arrived. We were happy to wait 10 minutes or so for a table as the food looked... More

We just finished a long hike along the coast and needed some lunch. We saw the sign saying "Red Roof Cafe" YUMMY. The inside was full a natural light and friendly staff. The food was great. It was visually appealing and very tasty. They brought toys for our grandson the play with while the adults ate. The desserts were also... More

We ate here twice during a weeks's stay in Glendale. Once for coffee and cakes and another stop for lunch. Tasty, locally sourced food, friendly staff, local art on walls, fabulous views from window. A mile drive up a single track road, or a walk from the village below, but worth it.

Really nice cafe with fantastic coffee, teas and cakes beyond all expectations. These guys and gals must take a lot of care and consideration in what they do to produce to achieve such high standards A real gem to make your visit to neist point even more enjoyable. Word to the wise , although the road is rather narrow please... More

At the end of a single track road in Glendale is the Red Roof Cafe. Worth the journey. Excellent choice of coffees choose your own beans and homemade cakes to die for . Lunch menu looked wonderful cheese fish and meat platters with salad and dips. A small selection of artworks but it is the food that is the star

The scones and cakes are all so fresh and tasty. There is a good choice of speciality coffees and teas which are freshly ground and brewed. The cafe is near the end of a dead end road, but it's worth the trip just to visit it. We found the prices very reasonable compared to some others on Skye. The service... More

The description as a gallery is a little bit of an overstatement but the foods and drinks are very good indeed. Worth a stop for the refreshments alone and it is also close to some other craft shops/galleries that are more interesting.
