Amazing food, Amazing service

We had an excellent meal here. Scallops and black pudding and filo tart with figs and feta were a delicious start to the meal, which was followed by 2 steaks cooked to perfection. My husband who is an avid carnivore said it was the best steak he had ever eaten. Deserts were exquisite, and the... read more

Scottish scallops and black pudding! Does it get any better? Russell's does an awesome version that is definitely the best we had during our trip around Scotland. The zesty sauce is delicious and turns the starter from a great meal into a total foodgasm (see picture). We had the steak and chicken which were both really, really tasty. The dishes... More

Was the only place in town, besides a few scraggy looking pubs, open on the Sunday night we were passing through. A pricey meal, but well worth it. We had two courses, all quality and delicious. They even brought out tasting samples of other dishes to try while we were waiting on our mains. An unexpected gem if you can... More

This was recommended to us and although 10 miles from Fort William where we were staying it is more than worth the drive. Service was efficient, food was delicious - lamb was excellent and the crab tart in the starter something I'd like to be able to make. Russell is an excellent host and full of local information and anecdotes.

I would recommend booking as the restaurant is small and very popular. This is the third time we've visited and the quality has been fantastic every time. This time the service was exceptional - young staff but clearly well trained, immaculately turned out and so attentive. Everybody is so enthusiastic. The food was lovely and everything was local. At about... More

We've been here before and it was one of the main reasons for booking the B&B again 5yrs later. The food is simply outstanding, the Scallops one of the best I've ever tasted. Locally sourced quality produce prepared with skill, attention to detail and sublime flavours. Congratulations to Glen you made our trip.

What a wonderful and unexpected fine dining restaurant! We were amazed by the incredible service and food. Recommend making reservations, it's a small place and clearly packs a full house every night.

This restaurant was recommended to us by the b&b we were staying at in Fort William, we were advised to book and so we gave them a call about lunchtime on a Saturday hoping to get a table for the evening. Times were limited but we were lucky enough to get a table for two at 7:30pm. When we arrived... More

Went for an excellent meal there the food was relatively simple but very well cooked and high quality. The wine was also excellent and thoroughly enjoyable. The service was also really good. I would definitely come back next time I'm in the highlands. One particular tip if you're staying in Roy Bridge or Tulloch is that you can catch the... More

Food was just fantastic and the service really friendly. Not the most extensive menu but that's not meant as a criticism. Russell's is clearly all about quality which it definitely delivers. Highly recommended.
