At the Old Station Restaurant & Bar we offer great locally sourced food at reasonable prices. Dine in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, in the unique setting of a converted Victorian railway station on the world famous West Highland Line. We are located at Spean Bridge station where the Commandos began their training during the Second World War. Relax beside the fire in our public bar and enjoy local real ales. We are the only bar in the village serving real ale on draught. We also have a good selection of malt whisky, Scottish gins and wine. We have a gluten-free menu which is available on request. Children are very welcome ... And we even have a special menu for the wee ones!

First Class Evening

Had a meal at the Old Station Restaurant for my Husband’s 50th. This place is really different as it an old Victorian railway station and overlooks the railway line, a train even pulled in while we were eating. We booked in advance as the restaurant has limited opening at this time of year, but... read more

Quirky restaurant in an old station building with friendly staff. Kids enjoyed great burgers with generous portions. Not much choice for vegetarians and the Vegetable Provençal was disappointing.

i took my father back here after first visiting fifteen years ago and we weren't disappointed. We made to feel very welcome and had a lovely meal. The location is fantastic, the station is still used and it's fun to watch the trains pull in and out while you are eating! The Old Station has a warm cosy feel about... More

I had been here before in April while showing the Highlands of Scotland to a Dutch group of travellers and liked the atmosphere, the friendly owners and staff and the good quality of the food. So when I organised another group tour in October last, I decided to choose The Old Station Restaurant again for meals on 2 consecutive nights.... More

We were looking for something different and this fit the bill. Appears to be a restaurant that caters to locals and the tourist that happen across. This is the old Train Station so it has a lot of train memorabilia and decor. Food was served hot and quickly. Couldn't go wrong with t he fish and chips as we are... More

Fettucine with smoked salmon -- out of this world! What a wonderful place for a restaurant - and a train even passed by while we were eating. Great memories

We had a really enjoyable meal on Friday evening. Ben and Vanessa and their staff were so welcoming and helpful. Something for everyone from an excellent steak, perfectly cooked, for my dad to a special for our visitor who is vegan. Having the sleeper train dropping in, as we were eating, was an extra treat

While staying in Spean bridge for the weekend we were pointed in the direction of the restaurant. Had a meal 1 of the nights we were there, nice bar to sit it to relax before your meal, staff are friendly but the meal was a little disappointing. Don't get me wrong thou I would eat there again, just the fish... More

My wife and I visited this restaurant late june 2014. I noticed that my submission on Tripadvisor somehow did not get posted, probably something had gone wrong with my iPad. So here goes again. We could not eat there when we arrived in Spean Bridge because it was fully booked! So we made a reservation for the next day. It... More
