Last time we tried to get in here on a Sunday lunchtime it was very busy and they could not accommodate us. So this time we booked. Although it was quieter we were glad we did because others were turned away. The Sunday menu was varied and reasonably priced. Breaded mushrooms with a garlic dip followed by a excellent piece... Great variety of food excellent prices fab quality. The restaurant has a nice homely atmosphere with pleasant staff. The front bar is great too with a nice open fire. My family arranged my 50th surprise party here recently & it was an excellent night (party food pre ordered via restaurant) with pizza saus rolls etc. Lovely big beer garden out... More

Lovely restaurant with good food, definitely a good change from before but the restaurant area is quite small with as many tables and chairs fitted in as possible, this means during peak times the restaurant is very warm and it can be hard to get in and out to use the bathroom etc

Visited recently for lunch and I was really impressed with the range on the menu as well as the price. The restaurant was really busy which is a good sign, unfortunately this meant the wait for our food, after ordering, was quite long! However, the food was very tasty, well cooked and large portions. I would eat here again as... More

We are a wee family who love to eat out with the kids and we love the Top of the town as the staff are great with the kids. The steaks really are amazing and always cooked to perfection.its best to book but that's because it's so busy all the time. Lovely for couples as well.
