Standards have dropped

I had the pleasure of staying here but must say the food standards have dropped compared to our previous stays which was disappointing.

We flew into Belfast International on an early flight without having breakfast beforehand and, when picking up a Hire Car, asked the guy on the Europcar desk if he could recommend anywhere for us to stop off. He immediately recommended the Ballyrobin and said just thinking about it made him hungry! He said that it wasn't a greasy spoon kind... More

Friday evening tea with a friend. Food good service quick. I had a Burger and Chips and it arrived in a wooden box quirky but not my taste. Food was excellent. Restaurant was busy and atmosphere was very pleasant. This is a handy spot with generally good food.

Stopped here prior to a flight for the lunchtime menu. The food was pleasant, but nothing special for the money. Surroundings very pleasant and has free wifi. Service was swift and polite, beats eating in the airport though!

Compliments to the chef! Staff where friendly and attentive, bit pricey for lunch but worth every penny. Well done

Having arrived back from Spain and a craving for a more homely taste the Ballyrobin did not disappoint. We arrived back at 2pm and called in for Sunday Lunch. We were placed at a very spacious table with loads of natural sun light - which helped with the transition from a Spanish climate. The lunch was delicious; I had lamb.... More

My husband and I live locally, but hadn't been to the Ballyrobin restaurant for a few years. So this in a way was a first for us. We were seated in the conservatory part of the dining room, and even though it was a very cold evening the temperature in the room was fine. We both ordered duck spring rolls... More

This restaurant was recommended by our B&B host. We went for dinner. The menu was large and varied. Our party had daub of beef, fish, duck, pigeon, terrine, dessert and Irish Coffee. The food was excellent, though spendy, and the service was great. We were seated in what appeared to be an addition which was nice but didn't really fit... More

Stopped for lunch before going to the airport. My mother is a vegetarian and the restaurant has an excellent vegetarian menu but we only found out by accident so you need to ask. My mother had pumpkin ravioli which she said was delicious. I had spaghetti carbonara which was outstanding. Deserts were great too and it was an excellent meal... More

We dined here with friends for a christmas outing. My friends and I all agreed that considering the number of guests dining the service and food was very good. The price of wine was reasonable around £15 depending on type. I would certainly return another time. The only is it's location. It could be a bit far for some people... More
