What a great pub! Good selection of ales and a decent food menu - the chips are first class! Friendly staff, and the beer garden is very nice, with vines growing over the terrace area. This was a great pit-stop after visiting Upnor Castle. Give it a try!

Visited for lunch with a friend. Plenty of table available in the various rooms. A wide choice of lunchtime meals from the regular menu and a variety of specials. Nice range of beers. Staff were attentive but not intrusive. Food arrived promptly, was well cooked and nicely presented. we will certainly return.

My second visit and again it didn't disappoint.. The roast dinner was very tasty, hot, great roast potatoes and plenty of it. Service is prompt, staff are welcoming and attentive. All in all great place for Sunday lunch.

Went with a group of family for Sunday Lunch which was excellent, the restaurant is fairly small and very popular so booking would be advisable. Service can be slow in busy periods ,so not for those in a rush

We visited for Sunday lunch and it was delicious! I am vegetarian and was even given a selection of alternatives, which you don't normally find with many Sunday lunch menus. The garden was lovely, we sat outside and enjoyed the sunshine whilst eating. Will be returning!
