As we arrived around 1:30, we were told that there would be a 40 to 45 minutes wait for the food. We were in no hurry so sat down and had their excellent Shepherd Neame beer. The food arrived within 30 minutes. My friend had the seafood platter which consisted of a smoked fillet of mackerel, smoked salmon and plenty... More

We came across this pub by mistake thinking that it was another pub where we had reserved a table. The staff were friendly and kindly let us have Sunday lunch although they were going to be shutting the kitchen (at about half3). The roast dinner was lovely and would recommend. It is a small pub with a nice atmosphere.

Loved this pub because we came out of Upnor Castle half-frozen and wet. We ordered coffees to warm us up. Friendly waitress. Service good. Didn't have any food so we can't critique that.

I grew up round the corner so pop back down every so often to visit. It's current incarnation and landlord are doing a sterling job. The area has four pubs, going to the Tudor Rose is a no-brainier. I'm not one for pub chat, but abnormally end up talking to someone when I drop in for a pint!

My friend and I were doing a walk along the Meday from Upnor to Rochester city and saw this lovely old pub at the end of picturesque Upnor High Street right near the castle. We loved the seats outside made from old boats and decided to go back for a meal when we finished the walk. It was quiz night... More

It's interesting what a half decent graphic designed menu can do!!! Looked at the stylish menu on line, phoned up to reserve a table and they gave the impression it was going to be very busy "good job we phoned up to reserve a table then", I thought. Arrived at the pub which was virtually empty apart from a few... More

In response to your review Sundays at our pub have been fully booked for the last 6 months with many repeat customers. If you had any complaints on the day surely it would have been better to bring them to our attention rather than waiting and complaining on trip advisor! We pride ourselves on good customer service with well trained... More
