Excellent lunch

Treated ourselves to lunch out on a day off. Wonderful meal - beautifully cooked chunky chips, eaten in the very pleasant garden. Pub is well decorated, clean, comfortable and not trying to be to olde worlde or over modern. Plenty of choice of ales. Staff friendly and good. Can see why this place... read more

Had lunch with a friend on a beautiful day recently. We sat in the newly revamped garden and were served delicious lunches by Elise. Have eaten here quite a few times and never been disappointed with the food. It was busy and justifiably so. Lovely desserts too. Can't wait to go back. Best pub in Upnor.

I have used this restaurant a both lunch time afte working on the boat and for dinner with good friends. Ever time I have been there it has been full but the loverly ladies have always found us a table. The food is excellent, their prices are also good but their service is just outstanding. I keep coming back and love the food here. The only problem is I love the steak and ale pie so much I haven't done justice to the rest of the menu.

My Mother and I had a lunch here last week, it was a lovely meal. I had Ham eggs and chips, it was lovely ham lovely and tender and the chips perfection, chrispy on the outside, and fluffy on the inside. A little bit expensive but very nice, worth a visit.

I visited this little pub on Saturday 21st March 2015 with my wife after a thoroughly enjoyable visit to Upnor Castle, almost next door. The Tudor Rose is fairly small but still has a delightful restaurant area and a quaint small bar that welcomes you as you enter. The staffs were very friendly and happy to engage in conversation about... More

I went to Upnor Castle today with my wife, But were running late and thought we would pop into the Tudor Rose for a bite to eat. The Friendly lady behind the bar served us drinks, and took us to our table, she showed us the special board and gave us menus to look at. The menu had a good... More

My partner and I attend the pub on mothering Sunday with our son and parents. The staff were very accommodating, attentive and polite. The food was brilliant and there was a homely atmosphere. Their beer selection was even more impressive. We will defiantly return. Thank you, Darren & Kalina
