Very attentive service

You might not expect a restaurant to be busy on a winter Wednesday in February but this one was. The atmosphere was friendly, and the service was really attentive. I took my husband here on his birthday weekend, on the strength of the reviews. It was even better than we'd expected. The food is superb - better than most tapas we'd had in Spain - with a personal touch - the chef comes out to talk to you and is cooking within view, the ambiance is friendly and welcoming,... More

Its name alone would have got me through the door for a glass of my favourite Spanish white, but the food was every bit a match for the drink. It's taken months to emulate the recipe for chickpea chips!

Never really found a tapas restaurant before that offered quality and variety, but I have now in my new hometown. The menu is straightforward and there's a chef's choice to play safe with. The advice offered at the table was very helpful and we had a good steer about portion size and what to select, absolutely not pushy, very accommodating.... More

We were late but they sorted things out to give us plenty of time to eat. Good food - especially the chickpea and fennel chips. Friendly staff, efficient service .

We often try and fail to get in here when we are in Broadstairs- so book ahead for weekends. This time we happened to be in Broadstairs on a cold february wednesday so no problem getting on. Had the chefs menu, stuffed aubergine, fennel chips, cod with oranges- all very good. Service just right- we would go again.

I have previously reviewed this restaurant in favourable terms. Until last Spring we had been regulars but for various personal reasons unrelated to the restaurant we hadn't visited for some 8 months or so. Last night on the spur of the moment and to ward off the freezing cold we decided to visit. As far as the decor is concerned... More

We went there and chose a selection of different tapas, all of which were excellent but we struggled to eat as were generous portions. Would be better to order a couple of each and then order more if you still have room. The house red went well with our selection and the bill was very reasonable

We have eaten at Albarino's a few times now, and cannot rate it highly enough. There is a wide and varied choice on the menu, together with a specials board for the chef's selection. We would recommend the belly pork, the meatballs and ox cheek - all of which are delicious. Food is always piping hot and really fresh. The... More
