Good indian food.

We were here for dinner with some friends. The service was great and the food lovely. Everyone was very happy with their choices. I have asked if they could make a chili naan for me as it was not on the menu and they were happy to accommodate me. I like very spicy food and the madras I have... read more

Staff took a while to warm to us think they felt overwhelmed with not enough staff but service was eventually good. Good food all the classics were happy to make a chicken version of a lamb dish that was on the menu.

The restaurant looked fairly busy when we walked in and we were seated straight away. The appearance of the restaurant is bright and appealing. However, we seemed to be sat waiting for a long time before our drinks order was taken, and then it took a further 10 minutes to bring out two beers. It then took another 10 minutes... More

We had evening meals at the Tamarind on Friday 10th April. The food was good but was spoilt by slow and poor service. Drinks took ages to arrive and an order for a bottle of water never arrived despite two requests. Nevertheless we were charged for it on the bill. Things didn't start well. The popadoms arrived without the pickle... More

Cold, bland, boring, tiny portions of the worst tasting, chewiest indian food i have ever eaten. Took well over an hour to arrive and when we complained it took another hour to get a replacement. Shocking restaurant I want my fifty quid back!

We'd missed valentines day but were still looking for a meal out, the Tamarind was deserted when we arrived, a bad sign we thought but we were wrong. The staff were friendly without being pushy. The room was well laid out, you weren't too close to others. We thought the menu range was good and enjoyed poppadums, starters, and curry.... More

I ordered a takeaway to be delivered. Ordered the food at 6.12pm and it should have taken between 45mins and1 hour. I rang them after 1 hour and was told it would be a couple of minutes and that "the food was on it's way". 20 minutes later I rang again and was told it had left the restaurant 10... More

We ordered a takeaway meal to be collected half an hour later, upon arrival at the restaurant, I was charged the full amount for the complete order. It was after this that I had a wait of half an hour while the food was cooked as it had not been prepared. The order was piled into a single plastic bag,... More

I loved the Niramish! Tamarind is a nice place for vegeterians and non-vegetarians!! Far from being expensive with great food. I recommend it!
