Nice restaurant

In my opinion well worth a visit. Good staff, good food. Have visited many times over a number of years and whilst the chef may change from time to time the food stays good. Some noisy customers can be a pain sometimes but then that seems to happen everywhere now !

A friendly restaurant, with good service; however we found the food quality distinctly average. Our recommendation would be for better quality and less quantity.

Went as two adult couples and had a good meal. Indian is my favourite cuisine, so having grown up with just the Broadstairs Tandoori it's brilliant to see that this restaurant has cemented its place in the local community. We had popadams, curry, sides ... All were authentic and very tasty. Service was slick and at a good pace with... More

Having looked forward to dining at this bright and airy establishment for a considerable time we booked a family supper for an early sitting on New Year's Eve. We wish we hadn't bothered! From the outset it was clear that 'looks' can be deceiving. The food was bland and the ingredients were generally of poor quality. The mixed veg platter... More

It started off well, they found us a table (away from the door) without a booking on a busy Christmas party night. The poppadoms and dips were great but then it went downhill. The appetisers were greasy, the lamb was cheap meat and the samosa was just ok, it doesn't blow you away. The main was korma and balti and... More

Living in London you are spoils for choice as regards very good Indian restaurants and sometimes out of town curry houses can be a bit of a let down. Tamarind, however, bucks this trend comprehensively. Really excellent food served in a modern airy setting. The staff are friendly and not over attentive and the prices are very reasonable. If you... We often get take aways from here and decided to go out for dinner. The food and service was excellent! The food was absolutely delicious and came quickly. I had the house white wine to drink and for a very cheap glad of wine with dinner it was very nice :) I'd recommend this Indian restaurant for anyone, it's excellent!

Me and my wife often eat here, alone or with friends and are never dissapointed. The food covers traditional curry house fair as well what I would call Indian Cuisine. Various curried or spiced foods but a bit more than just a blob of korma and some mushroom rice. My favourite meals here are invariably sea food, grilled salmon with... More

this place looks a little trendy which made me skeptical at first but the food was amazing. Some of the best Indian food I've ever had!! Can't wait to eat there again in the future when we visit England.
