We visited Chiappinis today in a large group. Firstly, a particular member of staff refused to explain the ice cream options listed on the menu boards. I think that, if you advertise several different options, it shouldn't be too much to expect to explain what these are, for example the difference between a 'Broadstairs Special' and a 'Chiappini Special'. Eventually,... More

This is always our first stop when we visit Broadstairs, hot drinks for the adults and ice creams for the kids! It's in a great spot on the parade overlooking Viking Bay with some tables and chairs outside, although be a little careful as they are on a slight slope. Hot drinks have always been fine and this time I... More

Clean restaurant. Drinks tasty and fair price, recommend the canoli (though they are expensive at 85p each) but don't expect service with anything except a sneer. If you fancy a sundae you'll have to guess at what they could be since there is no obvious menu describing them.

A traditional, well established Italian run ice cream parlour. We had rather large "special" ice creams...they should have been too much for us - but they were so lovely, we just ate our way to the bottom of the sundae glasses. A great way to complete a day at the beach! You can just have a small ice cream of... More

I went with my 2 kids to treat us all to an ice cream sundae. There were no menus & so choosing was hard. Basically the lady was only interested in selling us a cone. She eventually relented & explained 1 sundae to us that was 'for kids' - so I ordered 2. I enquired about spaghetti ice cream &... More

Lovely location overlooking Broadstairs beach and a great cup of coffee and a good selection of hot and cold food.

I have been visiting this wonderful place with my disabled son for many years now - . Whereas people normally get a cone of the wonderful ice-cream and then wend their merry way I like things to be special for my son. So we have the BIGGEST sundae they have - and two spoons. People walk by and comment on... More

The Gold Standard for ice cream parlours in Broadstairs (and beyond) is Morelli's. Chiappini's tries but simply doesn't hack it. So, I think it more important to assess it in its own right, rather than in comparison with Morelli's. Service is rather confused, as it is at the other branch. The choice here is wider and the place is bigger.... More

The only good thing about this place are the views, Over priced, mediocre coffee. Shame as the view over broadstairs is beautiful from this cafe.
