We visited Merry's several times and ate their twice on recommendation from a local. The food was well presented and tasty (the steak was particularly good) however on both occasions the salad was gritty like it needed a good wash. The menu is fairly limited - I think they may aspire to being a Gastro pub, but they are not... More

Popped in here recently for a bite to eat with a few friends. We were quickly given a table even though the place was jam packed at 7pm.I had the fillet of steak with mushroom and blue cheese accompanied by hand cut chips. My steak was cooked to perfection and the chips were to die for. One of my friends had the... More

Fabulous food, we had the ribs and chicken wings to start. The ribs were especially good, my wife preferred the wings. She then had the pork belly with chorizo mash. The mash was absolutely divine. I had lemon sole, cooked to perfection. The chef is clearly extremely talented and has a great knowledge of what works with what. Lovely desserts.... More

Went with my husband, daughter and son in law. Good atmosphere, even though lunchtime. Really good food, seafood chowder the favourite. Son in law a little disappointed with the pork dish. Service excellent even though it was busy.

From the craft beer pre-dinner drink to coffee Merrys serves great tastes at good value prices. Their dipping crab starter and poached chicken with Cashel cheese and a compote of mushrooms were particularly good. If I had a single complaint the new(ish) waitres with short hair really should stop rushing around, past and through the customers.

After a fairly long drive on narrow winding coastal roads, this was a welcome place for lunch. The food was pretty good, standard pub fare. While it was the first place we encountered "mushy peas," I think they were the best we had the whole trip; flavored with mint. My beer-battered fish and chips were nicely done; my wife thought...
