Fish thrown on top of chips with spilled peas all inside a deep silver tray (not even a plate). No veg served with another main course, just mash. Steak not cooked right and side portion tiny. Not even a touch of creativity from whatever chef it is (or unqualified cook perhaps). A few of us regularly come in here after... More

I am a local with no attachments to staff in this restaurant. We eat here regularly with our 6 year old. Great quality food. We generally book if we are going on a weekend afternoon as we it can get busy and we like to have a table by the window.

I visited the bar on the Saturday night of a bank holiday weekend. The place was busy with live music, a great atmosphere. I chose the bar for its extensive choice of craft beers. It has many beers on tap, as well as a wide selection of bottled beers. Bar staff were friendly and happy to advise on drink choice.... More

Had lunch (fish and a Cajun burger) here and was very impressed by its quirky bar food. Cajun chips and serving the fish in a boat dish were nice touches. Seems like a good spot for a few beers with its vast drinks menu.

My husband arranged a surprise party for our golden anniversary . We had the room upstairs which has its own bar . It was an amazing evening with imaginative finger food , delicious . The service was fantastic and the owner went to a lot of trouble to help my husband with the planning. All so friendly with a warm... More

Came in on a recommendation from a friend, and had a lovely romantic night out. Atmosphere was just right; cosy and intimate without being schmaltzy or Oirish. Food was delicious, it felt honest and generous, full of taste, without ever pandering to preciousness or attempting to overcome you with portion size. Not cheap, but not robbery. Odd to have the... First time in Dungarvan and Merry's was recommended by a friend who had eaten there. Lunch is very good value, small menu and excellent food. Add great service together with lovely surroundings and wide choice of beers. Cant ask for more

Went on recommendation of locals -- had fish dish (coley), never had it before and it was excellent. Pub was very well looked after and well preserved. Would recommend.
