We were very unhappy with the service we recieved. One waitress in particular was extemely ignorant and actually had a go at us when we enquired about the food which we had been waiting on for,for 45 minutes. We were absolutely appauled as we have never experienced such a poor quality in customer service. We understand it was busy but... More

On a recommendation I came here; and was not disappointed. The menu was quirky; unique which made it difficult to choose from. The fish soup with chorizo sausage was unusual and extremely tasty. As was the fish in Dungarvan beer batter with skin chips. Both starter and main for under €20 made it taste a lot better too. With friendly... More

Monday evening in Dungarvan - found most places shut for food, but got excited when seen veggie option of falafal burger on menu. On ordering requested no cheese cream sauce and was informed dish came with tortilla chips! Odd - but hunger is sweet sauce! Two burgers came out on top of one another separated by sliced beetroot ! The... More

Have eaten and drank in Merrys numerous times over past 6 years. It has established itself as one of the leading gastro Pubs in the Cork/Waterford region. There is a vast selection of Craft beers on tap and from bottles. All the latest Dungarvan beers are always available on Tap. I hate here last Friday night with 2 friends. I... More

The food was good, we enjoyed the ribs but maybe because it was the Easter holidays they were understaffed. It could be that service is excelent on normal days. But our starter to share was forgotten and we had to wait way too much to order, to get our main course, our desert and to pay. And it wasn't particularly... More

Excellent atmosphere, friendly, knowledgeable staff. Food good, well cooked as ordered, slightly limited menu but not cheap. Good range of craft ales.

Fish thrown on top of chips with spilled peas all inside a deep silver tray (not even a plate). No veg served with another main course, just mash. Steak not cooked right and side portion tiny. Not even a touch of creativity from whatever chef it is (or unqualified cook perhaps). A few of us regularly come in here after... More
