HUGE piece of steak - it pays to be very nice and although you have to cook it yourself (my opinion, the only way as you cant complain) it was an amazing piece of meat

This hotel is a very basic, very old establishment. Located in a prime position close to shops, pubs and restaurants. Slightly over priced for the standard of the rooms. Car parking is convenient on site at the rear of the hotel so that's a bonus.

we were in this hotel last Saturday with a large group of people the service and food was very good . The one downside was the receptionist was not very supportive to a guest who had a query re parking and repeatedly stated it was none of the business of the lady in the car park to know the hotel's... I had the chicken and bacon burger and it was very tasty. Service was excellent also. I had never eaten alone in a restaurant before and the staff made it quite painless!

My family and I went for a meal (if that's what you could call it) in Lawlors Hotel on Sunday night. The service and the food was awful from start to finish. We asked for a menu at 5.58pm only to be told that we could not have a menu until 6pm. Our waiter made no conversation at all not... More

After looking for somewhere to dine out in Dungarvan, we found the Lawlors Hotel restaurant. We were seated promptly, received our drinks and ordered our meals. Portion size is clearly not something they understand - they are enormous. Our fish was huge and the steak on a stone was a massive chunk of beef, and the quality matched. So were... More

Lawlors Hotel was headquarters for the Irish Traditional Music festival in Dungarvan this year. They served satisfactory bar food in the bar of the hotel, with entertainment provided by very competent local trad musicians. All the local pubs were 'hopping' with music and prominent musicians running sessions included box player Jackie Daly and fiddler Gerry Harrington.

We had seen the poster advertising Sunday lunch platter and did not believe it was possible to have a Sunday roast lunch for a family of 4 for €29.99 as advertised.. Well we were proved to be wrong.. My husband, myself, daughter and two grandchildren aged 10 and 6 went along to try it out. A bit cheeky to have... More

On the whole the food served was very good. You had a good choice and it was well cooked and served hot. They had to serve two coach loads of people at the same time so did well to cope with so many.
