Well worth a visit for something different

Had heard alot about the restaurant and Paul Flynn so i was really looking forward to our dinning experience. We booked for a Saturday evening and love the atmosphere with the restaurant upstairs and downstairs, ala carte was available, and i had read about the crab brulee, which i ordered and my... read more

We had a beautiful meal here last night..neither of could fault any course. Different but beautiful flavours and cooked so well. Congrats to the chef. The staff were top class and made the evening a success with their unobtrusive attentiveness. A busy place last night, loved the decor and atmosphere and looking forward to going back again.

We had dinner here at the beginning of our cross-Ireland tour, with a colleague. This place is clearly one of Ireland's finest restaurants. The setting is quaint, with modern touches, and the food spectacular. Ireland is definitely proud of local sourcing, and this top restaurant fits that bill very well. Everything we had there was spectacular from start to finish.... More

The tannery was a brilliant night out. All the food that me and my family ate was delicious and the mixtures of flavours blended in perfectly. As well as this the service was very good and as soon as we sat down we were given fresh bread and water for the table. Overall a lovely night out!!

Always interesting menus. Food excellent, as is the service. Usually a busy venue for locals and visitors alike.

The Tannery was a breath of fresh air. An unassuming location, tucked between buildings in what seems to be the old tannery due to its high double volume ceiling, its décor and service are top class. The food was excellent as was the service. Will be my first stop on my next visit.

I'll admit that I slightly ruined this experience for myself because i'd eaten a bit of a late lunch and therefore probably wasn't hungry enough to appreciate it properly. However, i did broadly enjoy my time at the Tannery. The first thing to mention is that the staff were excellent and that the atmosphere was really pleasant, and thankfully not... More

I had dinner and stayed at The Tannery last weekend and can not speak highly enough about the food, service and the really quirky but wonderfully tasty breakfast in our room. Perfect for the morning after a great meal.

We had very high expectations. Our meal was very good but also disappointing. We expected to be "wowed" with interesting dishes and we weren't. But that said the food is very good; the atmosphere is informal and fun; maybe the service could have been a little more attentive.

Ambience is lovely and expectations high. The food looks well presented and mouth watering. You do think hmmm I may need a bag of chips after this, but trust me, you will be adequately full by the time you leave. No complaints from any of our party. Staff good at their job. Highly recommended
