The food was fine, but the service wasn't, unless you are known to the proprietor. I asked for candles to be brought for my husband's dessert, but the waitress was very dismissing. The review options only allow to September 2013, and my visit was some time before this. There may have been a change of staff since then.

I recently brought my Mom to The Tannery for a belated birthday and we also stayed in the guesthouse. I found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful from check in through to dinner later that evening. Accommodation was clean and tastefully decorated. Food was excellent and I loved the decor and ambiance in the restaurant. The owner Maura... More

We booked an overnight stay in their townhouse with Dinner (tasting menu) and breakfast (continental served in room). The accommodation is around the corner in a town house. Well appointed with all the mod cons. Continental Breakfast is stored in the rooms fridge (decent coffee machine in the room) and is of a good standard. The restaurant is fabulous, super... More

My wife and I enjoyed a very good meal at The Tannery last month. The Food was very good and very well presented. Unfortunately the quality of service did not quite match the quality of the food. Inexperienced service staff who got our orders wrong and didn't know the dishes on the menu were something of a disappointment. However, the... More

Dined at the Tannery Rest last night with my wife. It didn't disappoint as it was magnificent definitely up there with the best restaurant that we have eaten in. From the very start the staff were courteous, attention to detail excellent , decor and ambience top notch and the food beautiful. We had the Easy Evening menu with basically two... More

My wife and I ate here on a Saturday booking in late July when visiting the area. When my wife made the booking she had been told there was an early bird menu but on arrival we were told there was no such offer. Not a concern for me as I planned on going the a la carte route anyway... More

My wife and I visited the Tannery on a Sunday evening. We had heard lots of good things about this restaurant so thought we'd give it a try. Before going upstairs to the restaurant, there is a cosy bar area that looked like a nice place to have a relaxing drink. We decided that we should make the most of... More

On a very hot evening in July myself, my husband, daughter and son in law went for a meal at Tannery restaurant in Dungarven. What a great experience. The food was superb. Some different items on the menu as well as some old favourites, so we all had something to enjoy. Wine was first class and even though it was... More
