Visited during the summer, we decided to try Tapas downstairs with a group of friends. The food here is great, there's was a nice atmosphere in the Tapas bar and it was extremely busy on a summers night, the food was well presented and very filling, there's not a lot of choice on the tapas menu though. Service was also... More

I had the most amazing meal in the Tannery last night. The food was exceptional. The crab creme brûlée starter was to die for, and the monkfish main course was top notch. We'd a fab bottle of New Zealand sauvignon blanc, and the staff couldn't have been nicer. I'll most definitely return again for a treat...

The tannery is a lovely restaurant but time and time again I am frustrated by the service. Most of the time the food is very good. But what gets to me the most is I always feel like I am bothering the female host if i deviate in any way from the menu i.e. I feel there is judgement and... More

Hi DS2Dublin Thank you for your review. All of us here at the Tannery do everything we can to make our guests feel welcome and comfortable. It’s never a problem when people go off-piste with the menu. We are more than happy to offer alternatives, e.g to those who would like a vegetarian menu. So it is really disappointing to... More

We ate here midweek and despite being only 50% full we were made wait for 25 minutes in the entrance hall. When we finally got seated the experience was lovely but out first impressions and experience sullied the evening. No apology, no explanation. Impression was this is The Tannery - you can wait. Not good enough for price paid.

Dear UnaR Thank you for your review. Honestly, I find it completely puzzling that you would be left waiting so long for a table on what was as you said, a quiet winter weekday evening. A full enquiry has been launched. But I am very sorry that this first impression tainted your evening. We definitely do not have the attitude... More

We ate at the Tannery Restaurant having heard lots of good things about this venue. The venue itself was bright and pleasant, and the staff were very attentive and accommodating. As we were going elswhere after our meal that evening, neither of us were looking for a large meal. We both selected the set menu option @ €30 each for... More

My husband and I recently dined at the Tannery and we were really looking forward to it. We were greeted warmly by the hostess and brought us to our table. We both had tortellini potato for starters which was delicious. There was no amuse-bouche before starter which was slightly disappointing for such a well know restaurant. This may be because... More

Saw this restaurant whilst strolling-around Dungarvan the day we arrived, looked at the menu, wandered-in, greeted warmly and agreed a booking for 8PM that evening. This is a fabulously appointed property, quality everything. Service was fabulous, food and wine divine so we really enjoyed our dinner here.

Had a fantastic experience in this restaurant. We started out the evening with a pre-dinner drink in the lovely wine bar. The staff were very attentive and friendly from the moment we arrived. We had the tasting menu and each of the 7 courses was delicious and I thought it was very reasonably priced for the quality of food served.... More

To start I had tortellini of potato, smoked bacon, nettle brown butter and hazelnuts which was nice, but the medium Rib eye steak, mushroom duxelle, balsamic onion and aioli was a not great.. € 28.00 for the rib eye, and it was quite poor, i have paid less and had allot better, best avoid. Check out the picture of same!!!!!... More
