A truly stunning place. A lot of hard work to make it what it is but it shows in every aspect from the restaurant to the lovely rooms in the townhouse. The food was amazing but the rooms we had not experienced before were flawless. Imaculate, warm and a homely feel to it. Very good value will be back.

This restaurant, and it's chef, have an enviable reputation. Each time we've visited my partners family in Co Cork. I've been told "you must go to the Tannery". So my expectations were high as we walked in. We had been lucky to book a table only a couple of days before so we were seated in the downstairs dining room,... More

Dear John F Very sorry to hear your entire experience with us was so confusing. To clarify, we are a restaurant in a country town in the south East of Ireland offering the best food and service that we can. As I said to you that evening when you asked me if we considered ourselves ‘fine dining’, we just do... More

Had the goats cheese tart - yum and the chicken cassoulet also yum and everyone's meal was lovely in a group of 4. Catching up with a friend from 30 years ago and decided to take the early sitting at 6pm. The wait staff were lovely and relaxed and helpful but I felt the meal was spoiled by a tactless... More

My B&B recommended the Tannery and I was not disappointed with the 3 course menu for 30 euros. I had the smoked salmon entree, pan fried salmon main course and chocolate truffle desert with a Spanish Chardonnay. The staff were very helpful and ensured I had a quality dining experience.
