I am a frequent visitor to the Lahinch / Miltown Malby area and find it hard to believe that I have not visited Black Oak restaurant before now. . When we arrived at the restaurant we were greeted by Emily and were made to feel very welcome for the evening. Staff were most attentive. The dining room is very comfortable,... More

Was in Miltown Malbay last week and decided to stop at the black oak for some dinner. The restaurant was busy but the staff still found time to chat as they showed me to my table. I had what I can only decribe as the best meal I have ever eaten. The soup was to die for and the main... More

My family, relatives and friends recently had Sunday lunch at this restaurant. Firstly the view was just spectacular and the restaurant had a really lovely comfortable feel, the staff were extremely attentive, welcoming and very friendly. I have an intolerance to gluten and there was no problem with being accommodated and the choice of food was just amazing. The lunch... More

We ate twice at this location on our recent trip to Co. Clare. The summer special menu is great value and uses local fresh seafood and fish which are my particular favourites. The view from the dining room over the bay is fabulous

Heard great reviews about this resturant, so last night four of us went for a meal there. Warm welcome on arrival, great selection on the set price menu. All our meals were excellent & well presented. I was blown away with their sea food chowder, the best in ireland by far. Looking forward visiting there again.

I went here for a family lunch last weekend and found it a joy. We were given a lovely table location by the window with panaromic views of the sea and coastline below. The initial greeting was warm and the service thereafter friendly and attentive. It has a cosy and convivial ambience. But the food is what these places stake... More

I dined at the Black Oak with 6 other family members last weekend to celebrate the 40th birthday of one of our group. The location of the restaurant is superb with a wonderful view of the coastline (unfortunately slightly obscured during our visit due to low-lying cloud). When we arrived the restaurant was very emply with just one other table... More

Superb is the best word to describe this restaurant. For value for money, quality service and top class food in a beautiful location, then Black Oak, ticks all the boxes. A beautiful St Tolas Cheese starter was followed by a tender rare sirloin steak and then a dessert plate that had everything. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and... More
