What a Gem!

We were staying in a villa close to Casole de Elsa - on our first night in town we stumbled upon this charming restaurant. It is run by a family (Mama does all the cooking and we're told she shops daily for the fresh ingredients for the evening's meal)....every day is a new set menu....the food is... read more

Food is excellent, service is amazing. At first we were skeptical because they didn't give a choice of menu but turned out to be an interesting experience that we will never forget.

a very small and homely place... One of our best meals this year...family style table with small menus but everything was uniquely local...go with their recommendations ....the three owners work there and are very friendly...small wine store attached with great local wine and grappa selection Will be back!

We just happened on this perfect restaurant cum enoteca in Casole D'Elsa on a sleepy November Friday afternoon during a short Tuscany tour. We never expected this perfect place, warm, casual, good food, great wine (we even bought some bottles for the journey on), great jazz, ... just the perfect Friday afternoon place for lazy and relaxed early afternnon local... An understated local cafe located in the village centre with great food. Service is certainly a relaxed style, but prepared and served by the owners who are extremely friendly and welcoming. Lunch is taken from a menu with ample choice, however dinner is from a preset menu but very representative of typical and tasty regional dishes with good local wines.... More

Recommendation made by staff at La Suvera and didn't disappoint. A set menu but there is a bit of flexibility for vegetarians etc. We were made very welcome and enjoyed the food very much. One thing worth mentioning is that there is a notice upon entering the establishment to say that they don't take credit cards, it's cash only, so... More

We had breakfast nearly every morning at caffe Casolani - beautiful croissants and good coffee (make sure you get there before 10 am at least). We also had 2 lunches both of which were excellent in a relaxed and truly Italian environment, all washed down with an excellent bottle of Chianti Classico!

Local café with a preset menu for the evening. Food is fresh and from local area each day. Husband and wife team do it all here, and therefore service is slightly lacking. Especially between 8-9PM when all tables are occupied. Need some help getting food out. But then again, as in any of the small village restaurants, be prepared to... More

This place was recommended to us by a local we met at a farm tour and we were very pleased with our meal. Our daughters were given pasta with a choice of sauce and we were treated to a surprise menu as the plates just came out. Everything was delicious. The pasta with wild boar was so amazing our daughter... More
