Good Restaurant!

This place is wonderful. We Had the wild boar stew and roasted rabbit as well as delicious gnocci. The house wine was good and the waitress was efficient and patient as she had to translate the menu for us. Highly recommend!

Their menu is small and not much English is spoken but the food is very good. It is a nice casual family place with the father, mother, daughter and sometimes 5 year old granddaughter there. Their pinci with sugo or with garlic tomato sauce are excellent. I'm also a fan of their Zuppa di Pane. The scottiglia (wild boar stew)... More

Just up from the parking you find this nice little gem. The pasta with ragu was perhaps the best we've ever had. The depth of flavor was magnificent. Nice, efficient and very friendly service. Great for lunch!

We felt like we lucked out choosing this restaurant for lunch while wine tasting in the area. The menu selections were varied, with all of the usual Tuscan options available -- wild boar, roast rabbit, salumi, pinci/pici pasta, pasta with meat sauce, mushroom sauce or tomato sauce, etc., and the prices very reasonable. The bruschetta was wonderful -- one slice... More

we decided to take the blind leap of faith based on looks alone; it looks cute, how can you can go wrong with this? The answer is, you can. Happily we didnt. Food matched decor. Simple, almost rustic, kitchen, pleasing the palate, without ever venturing into gourmet territory. Service effficient but lacked even the minimun of spark of passion about... More

We were recommended to eat her by our hotel. We went for lunch and the meal was so good we returned for dinner. Had the BEST mushroom soup of my life and excellent pasta. All very good prices and friendly service. Would return in a heartbeat!

It´s a very cosy and simple place with good homemade style food! Dishes are simple, but flavours are great! Good wine for a nice price! Staff is very attentive! A place to eat well without expanding a lot!

I have been here on several occasions before and have always liked this restaurant. The food is traditional Tuscan fare and is very good. We came in at the end of the lunch service due to difficulties checking in at our hotel and they were kind enough to serve us anyway. Highly recommended for a reasonably priced meal in Montalcino.

We ate at this restaurant the first night in Montalcino because it was located just down the street from our apartment at Il Barlanzone (next to the fortress). The food was excellent; the menu featuring local cusine and wine. Service was very friendly and efficient. It was so good that we returned the next night for another dinner and again... More

Pinci al Aglione is the simplest, but I find the best in town. The braised boar and white beans sounds boring but has great flavor. I like this place for its food. Atmosphere is okay.
