We visited this restaurant a number of times 5 yrs ago and found it was excellent. We revisited last night and were very disappointed.the menu is dull and unimaginative and over priced.the wine that was recommended was rough and cheap tasting.Restaurant was full but lacked any atmosphere. We will not be returning.

After a morning searching for good Brunello wines, we received a recommendation to this restaurant from a local. It sits on the road up to Montalcino and, in a countryside full of beautiful views, this outdoor patio restaurant has one of the best. If you are not familiar with the restaurant it is easy to miss going up to Montalcino.... More

It's hard to beat the atmosphere, view and food at Boccon di Vino. It sits on a hillside overlooking Montalcino with a view of the entire valley from the outdoor seating. A tasting menu is offered at lunch that shouldn't be missed. I've had the ceci soup with prawns the last two visits and find myself craving it (tried to... More

After spending some time around Montalcino and visiting more than 20 restaurants this one was the worst. I really do not expect from a family run restaurant in tuscany to use supermarket bought basalico pesto and mixed seasoning (including dried garlic) on food. And if yes, not on ALL meals we had. If you want to have a good food... More

The welcome from one of the nicest lady-in-charge by whom you could ever be looked after. The exciting menu and great wine list. The spectacular views over the Ombrone valley.

This quaint little restaurant is a gem not to be missed if your in Montalcino. An exceptional wine list with very fair prices (The bottle we has was only 10 euros less than at the retails store). The food was exceptional from the pappa del pomodoro (a tomato and bread soup) to the gnocchi and desert. I will be back... More

Jaw-dropping views that are topped only by the quality of the food! Great wine list (try the Il Palazzone Brunello di Montalcino!) and food that is prepared with the freshest ingredients makes every meal we had here memorable. We went for dinner with a large group, which gave us the opportunity to try almost everything on the appetizer menu, and... More

My husband and I had a truly exceptional Pranzo (leisurely lunch) here. The cured goose carpaccio was wonderful, as were the gnocci. The service was genteel and welcoming, and it rates as one of the top 3 meals in our recent trip to Italy. Great job, Marina, Alessandra and Mario!

Suggested by our staff at Castello Di Velona, we could not have been more pleased with our experience. We sat in a lovely dinning area and had a great Tuscan meal and wonderful Brunello! Can't get much better. Easy to drive to and most important, easy to park!
