Found this restaurant online when we were searching for lunch options near Montalcino. Il Leccio was recommended on several travel websites so we decided to drive out without reservations. The unfortunate thing was the restaurant was packed and the outdoor seating area was closed as it was raining. The very fortunate thing was the waitresses set up a table for... More

We ended up following the recommendations from a NY times article on Tuscany, and Il Leccio was one of the places on the list. The article made this place seem like a real dream, so we drove 45 minutes each way to come here for dinner. And, it was definitely a nice dinner, but I'd say nowhere near as great... More

It was a full day of winery visits when we happened upon this little jewel. We were actually heading for another restaurant when two sets of friends stopped us and told us to eat there. We were not sorry!! Beautiful stone walls and Tuscan ambiance for this place, amazing food, and very attentive wait staff make it a great stop.... More

Have you ever had deep fried vegetables? If not this should be a must here. Want to get your kids to eat vegetables just have them fixed like this. But if you want steak well it's here. Enough for 4 adults and you will be amazed at the quality and quantity. Service is great and the wine selection is too.

After many winding roads we found the restaurant recommended by a staff member in Banfi. Without reservations we couldn't have lunch at the Winery. We were very pleased with IL Leccio. The service and food was wonderful. If you are lucky enough to get there have the Bruschetta and then the Veal with Pinole nuts and Figs drizzled with honey.... More

As a mid break in a day tour of Tuscany, we stopped here for a "lunch" . Our host explained that we would be sampling Tuscan style foods. We were presented with appetizers. Several typical first course dishes were presented. Each was remarkable. The eggplant was incredible. All of this was followed by the pasta course-lasagna, and the second course-... More

After a long day of driving through Tuscany we were delighted to find this restaurant tucked away in little Montalcino. When walking in, I felt as if I had entered a friends home and was warmly welcomed. The interior appropriately matches the town and we found ourselves really enjoying the details of the space. The restaurant is small but the... More

Our fourth visit here in 6 years. Love the little town of Sant Angelo. Middle of wine tasting area and this restaurant has an extensive wine list with reasonable prices. Enjoyed an Argiano brunello on this trip. All visits rate would rate a 5 until this one. Had to drop to 4 due to one entree being a little tough.... More

This restaurant was outstanding. It came recommended to us by a staff member working at the Banfi winery and we are so glad that we paid attention to her suggestion! We were there for lunch on a beautiful afternoon and sat on the patio but we all had to go inside the restaurant for a peek at all of it's... More

Something locals are clueless, so you have to know which locals to ask!! we ask for place where the wines and food were equally very good ...minus the tourist. So this the place.. It wasnt too diffcult to find although you need your own car to go up the hill. A little stone house perched up the hill and o... More
