Great atmosphere with awesome food! Order the Asparagus Flan appetizer and Ravioli. We went back 2 nights in a row so that I could have another one all to myself. Our waitress recommended one of the local Brunello wines that was fabulous!! Sunsets are amazing up on this hill. Very romantic

We ate here while on a wine tour. It was highly recommended by our driver and while the price was a bit high for the area we found the food and service worth it. The location is on a little piazza in Montaicino. We had antipasto, nice pasta each, shared a salad, and 2 different main courses. We also shared... More

We were staying at the Castiglione del Bosco, a 5 stay experience / restaurant itself, but this lunch meal on our way out of town was a real treat. We are vegetarian so asked for the vegetarian version of their Tuscan sampler, which was quite simply one of the most delicious spreads we have ever experienced. The pasta with asparagus... More

This was one of the best eating experiences we have had in many visits to Italy. The food - especially the pinci pasta was excellent and was accompanied by excellent service including first class wine advice. Our waitress recommended a local wine - not a brunello - and we liked it so much we purchased a bottle from their associated... More

Food is fabulous and not out of the way price-wise, (we paid 210 euros for 5 of us with 3 courses a good bottle of wine and coffees) great wine list. It was so easy to book online and the manageress knew me by name as soon as we walked in, amongst a sea of people! Yu have almost died... More

My wife and I finished a lovely tour of the winery at Poggio Antico and made our way to the small, lovely village where Il Leccio is located. (We chose to avoid the "big city" atmosphere of Montalcino, and it was only 7 mins south of Montalcino.) The restaurant is located on the quiet town square, across from a pretty... More

Found this restaurant online when we were searching for lunch options near Montalcino. Il Leccio was recommended on several travel websites so we decided to drive out without reservations. The unfortunate thing was the restaurant was packed and the outdoor seating area was closed as it was raining. The very fortunate thing was the waitresses set up a table for... More

We ended up following the recommendations from a NY times article on Tuscany, and Il Leccio was one of the places on the list. The article made this place seem like a real dream, so we drove 45 minutes each way to come here for dinner. And, it was definitely a nice dinner, but I'd say nowhere near as great... More

It was a full day of winery visits when we happened upon this little jewel. We were actually heading for another restaurant when two sets of friends stopped us and told us to eat there. We were not sorry!! Beautiful stone walls and Tuscan ambiance for this place, amazing food, and very attentive wait staff make it a great stop.... More

Have you ever had deep fried vegetables? If not this should be a must here. Want to get your kids to eat vegetables just have them fixed like this. But if you want steak well it's here. Enough for 4 adults and you will be amazed at the quality and quantity. Service is great and the wine selection is too.
