We had a great meal here sitting on the terrace with great views, awesome wine and so close to the church bells for an extra bit of atmosphere. Also bought a lovely bottle of Brunello from the wine shop next door. Well worth a visit

We took a wrong turn and ended up in this small town. Trattoria Il Leccio was the only place we saw other people and since we were lost anyway, we decided to stop and eat lunch. What a twist of fate! This is easily now our favorite restaurant, favorite meal(s), favorite memories of our whole time in Tuscany! We came... More

This is one of the finer restaurants in the area. Out of the way in a charming village. Well worth the visit if you enjoy great cuisine and wine

There was nothing bad that came to our table, but everything struck us as a little unimaginative and simple. Not simple in the "let the ingredients shine" way but simple in the "I don't even remember what I just ate" way. All in all, it wasn't bad, but I wouldn't entirely recommend it.

When you visit Montalcino, drive away from the tourist restaurants and go to Sant'Angelo in Colle. Il Leccio is a very good trattoria with a superb local wine list and excellent Tuscan cuisine. Try the antipasto della casa with salami, ham & cheese then try their "Pici" or fettuccine...all VERY good. They serve also excellent fried lamb chops...great salads and... More

Great atmosphere with awesome food! Order the Asparagus Flan appetizer and Ravioli. We went back 2 nights in a row so that I could have another one all to myself. Our waitress recommended one of the local Brunello wines that was fabulous!! Sunsets are amazing up on this hill. Very romantic

We ate here while on a wine tour. It was highly recommended by our driver and while the price was a bit high for the area we found the food and service worth it. The location is on a little piazza in Montaicino. We had antipasto, nice pasta each, shared a salad, and 2 different main courses. We also shared... More

We were staying at the Castiglione del Bosco, a 5 stay experience / restaurant itself, but this lunch meal on our way out of town was a real treat. We are vegetarian so asked for the vegetarian version of their Tuscan sampler, which was quite simply one of the most delicious spreads we have ever experienced. The pasta with asparagus... More

This was one of the best eating experiences we have had in many visits to Italy. The food - especially the pinci pasta was excellent and was accompanied by excellent service including first class wine advice. Our waitress recommended a local wine - not a brunello - and we liked it so much we purchased a bottle from their associated... More

Food is fabulous and not out of the way price-wise, (we paid 210 euros for 5 of us with 3 courses a good bottle of wine and coffees) great wine list. It was so easy to book online and the manageress knew me by name as soon as we walked in, amongst a sea of people! Yu have almost died... More
