Exactly what you'd expect under the Tuscan sun.

My favorite was the Bistecca Fiorentina, probably the best steak I have ever had, anywhere, and including USDA NYC steakhouses.

You will never be disappointed with the food. We have returned to enjoy their fried vegetables with the best steak you can find. Save some room for their desserts.

We dined here last night. I must admit that we were a little put off by some of the negative reviews here and would have eaten at Il Pozzo, next door, if it had been open. Thank goodness it was closed! We had a wonderful authentic and high quality tuscan meal served in lovely surroundings. I'd have no hesitation going... More

Excellent wine, great food and wonderful ambience. You will not be disappointed. Make a reservation. Italians don't believe in turnover. Once you are in, that's it for the evening.

Charming restaurant, great atmosphere. We were taken there by our tour guide Terenzio. We were traveling Italy for two weeks and ate at many great restaurants, but the food at Il Leccio was outstanding!!!! and it just kept coming!!! Absolutely amazing!! Our first course was Bruschetta, fried zucchini, some kind of porcini mushroom soufflé, assorted salami and ham and a... More

Winetasting combined with fantastic atmosphere and primi of excellent variety! Also the main meat met the highest standards as well as the wines, of which the Poggio d'Arna proved a pleasant priceworthy surprise.

OK, there is no view. But the food is really good. My wife had the porcini mushroom crostini and the aroma filled the restaurant. She followed this with pear salad. Yum. I started with the prosciutto and figs. Both were very fresh. I followed with the the slices of veal steak and arugula topped with shaved parmagiano reggiano and balsamic... More

We've been to Montalcino four times and include iL Leccio on our dinner rotation each time we visit. You will find the highest quality of food presented as elegant as you can imagine accompanied by a wine list featuring a comprehensive list of the best Brunello's in the region at very reasonable prices. It may be a bit of a... More

For Eight years we have eaten here and have brought friends who raved about the food and ambiance of the out of the way place. This year we were disappointed in the food and somewhat in the service. Remember, this could have been an off day so take this review with a grain of salt. I hope maybe next year... More

After our tour of Montalcino, we stopped by this charming little village of Sant'Angelo in Colle and we had a superb lunch at II Leccio. We particularly like the fried zucchini flowers, it was really good!!! I am not really a wine drinker but I like the Brunello di Montalcino that was served to us here! Looking forward to my... More
