Good quality Tuscan fare

Great spot for dinner in Montalcino. Caccio& Pepe was very good. Friendly service in a very busy but efficient restaurant. Reservations recommended after 8 pm. Nice central location, no view though.

It may be we were spoiled by some of the places we had eaten already but this place came highly recommended and frankly didn't live up to it. The service was somewhat erratic and while the menu did have some quirky dishes (I had conchiglie with peas and pancetta) to be honest it wasn't brilliant and to be honest one... More

An early evening dinner (7:30) here on our last evening in Montalcino. Starters and either a pasta or secondi to follow. Ample portions and an extensive (and slightly expensive) wine list. Two adults, two children (11 and 13), cost about €150 including half a bottle of wine and two desserts (shared - not an issue to ask for extra spoons).... More

If you like very expensive good Italian wine this is the place for you , if you like normally priced good Italian wine this is also the place for you ! Along with our menus we were handed the biggest wine list we've ever seen in the form of a huge book. Don't be daunted by this , we settled... More

Had the pleasure of dining here this past July on our visit to Montalcino. We had a fantastic meal (at a very reasonable price) and the service was very good. The cuisine was very authentic. I had the pasta with truffles. I still dream of it. One of the best meals we had in Montalcino.

We've visited Montalcino eight years out of the last eleven, and we always go to Grapello Blu for lunch. We've tried other restaurants in Montalcino and the surrounding area, and most of them are gorgeous, but we keep going back there every day of our stay, as it can't be beaten. If you want spectacularly perfect Italian food and wine... More

We have dined here multiple times. It always exceeds expectations. It all starts with the charming owner who ensures perfection. The best soup, salad, and homemade pasta dishes in Tuscany. The wine list is extraordinary and highlights the local Brunellos. Don't leave without the soufflé' . Planning to go back again before our trip is complete! Charming atmosphere and great... More

Two of us had dinner one night here. The Wine list was extensive, the service was very good, and the food was also very good. The only downside we had was that there were no local customers in the place, everyone was either English or American and obvious tourists. This may just have been a quirk on this particular night,... More

Food was great, prices were most reasonable for Montalcino - service was quick and friendly. We had a great meal and could see that others were enjoying the restaurant as well. We believe this is family run.

This must have been our 10 or more visit to Grappolo, and it never disappoints. It is a friendly down to earth type place, nothing too fancy but with simple home cooking and tasty food. Hope to be back sooner than last visit.
