We arrived in Montalcino by foot having walked 20km from our last hotel, including the 2km climb up to the town and so were tired and hungry. The day happened to be my wife's birthday so we were looking for a slightly different meal to the normal Tuscan fare and were not disappointed. The owner/chef Paola is an inspired cook... More

Sat in the garden opposite the restaurant on a warm August night. Service good - not great but the food was high quality great local ingredients inventively prepared. Not the usual Tuscan menu but modern with flan: prawns, lamb and veal cheek were stand outs. But the scraping of plates at the table by the waitstaff was jarring. Great value... More

This was our favorite dinner in Montalcino. While the setting was more formal than our taste, the food and service were spot on. We started with the eggplant appetizer along with… For entrees, we got a lamb pasta and rabbit. We had a beautiful bottle of Brunello di Montalcino and split the pears for dessert. A very special dinner for... More

We had dinner tonight at this restaurant, which is located at one end of Montalcino's city main road. The crunchy egg with white truffle is simply amazing and unforgettable. I also had the pigeon with foies gras and polenta, which was very flavorfull e prepared with perfection. As most of of the restaurants in the city, has a very good... More

Good to very good food. Not cheap but considering the quality not bad value. It is nice to sit in the garden.

Fabulous food. Great wine advice. We ate in the outside garden dining area and it was beautiful. Not a bad thing to say about this restaurant.

One of the best ever! The white truffle pasta was to die for. We had to go back a second night to make sure it was as good as we thought--it was!
