There certainly are lots of pizza choices in Italy and everyones tastes vary. If thin crust pizza from a wood burning oven with fresh ingredients is your kind of pizza, and you happen to be in the mid-lakes region of Italy, then pizzeria Balognett is worth the trip Tremezzo. It is by far the best pizza of its kind in... More

Quite, quite outstanding. The pizza is the best I have ever had in over 40 years of Pizza eating in Italy. We both had pizza and could not believe the beautiful quality of the vegetable toppings and the pizza base. It transpired on talking to the owners that the vegetables are all home grown, except the tomatoes as this year... More

Very nice place with great ''home'' atmosphere. Very kind owners that will make you feel home. Ordered a Pizza with Ham and Mushroom + Sallad , got it very fast and it was worm but not very hot like it usually come from the over. The sallad was great. But the price I think was very high, 13€ for a... More

After a walk from Villa Carlotta through the streets of residential Tremezzo (and thinking we would never find this place) we made it to Balognett. It was about 5pm and there were only two other tables outside under the lovely awning covered in ivy and grape vines. The setting is lovely, very quiet and the owners have a wonderful vegetable... We went here twice during a week long stay in Tremezzo. The pizza is absolutely delicious: thin crust, garlicky flavour, chilli oil and simple but fresh and flavoursome toppings. The Quatro Staggioni is the best pizza I've ever tasted. The first we visited the owner and chef was kind enough to show us around his vegetable garden where the tomatoes... More

Popped in around 4pm to ask if my older children (12 and 14) would be allowed to dine there that evening. I was met with hostility and rudeness. Bearing in mind the children were welcomed at the five star Grand Tremezzo Hotel L'Escale fondue restaurant (and, unsurprisingly, behaved impeccably as always, it's disappointing how unwelcome we were made to feel... The pizzas here are indeed very good, and the setting is lovely. But the owners need to heed some of the advice on here..they are not welcoming but rather abrupt and rude. We squeezed our 10 year old son in but felt we couldn't relxa in case we laughed too loudly. Don't take kids in the evening, understood, but the... More

Children discount for dinner are not their environment.Even adults have a discount because forced to let alone as an adult because of his children.Families with children have about 6 hours to lunche here. The latest 4 hours ' aduti ' only. This is correct! After all we are on vacation and there is time to enjoy it all... More

Cash only and opens at 13:00. We had a very nice meal, enjoyed the delicious pizzas and bruschetta, which was worth the long cobblestone walk from the port, however, this restaurant does have a unique feel, and is in a very quiet residential area. Considering Italy is always known for its great service and child friendly service, this restaurant is... More

We walked all the way up to this restaurant based on the reviews we had read so we had high expectations. We got there about 12:30 and after the long hike up, were a little grumpy we didn't know they opened at 1pm. We were there so we waited the 1/2 hour. We are sure glad we did. As expected... More

Yes, it's true, this place does not allow children, but it's also true that they make the best pizzas in the world! If you're not trying to feed a family, make sure you don't miss this place.
