In love with "Cantine Follie"

Is the perfect place if you are looking for great wine and typical Italian Cheese and Salami selection. In not a real restaurant but if you do not fancy a big dinner Cantine Follie is the place. The inside is very cosy and they have a beautiful terrace outside. Joost the owner is a wine expert and... read more

Went here on a lazy afternoon during our honeymoon in Tremezzo & were not disappointed! Spent a good few hours on the lovely relaxed terrace, sampling some of the finest meat, cheese & wine we have ever had.our host was so knowledgable & explained to us where each & every wine came from & gave us recommendations on what we... We were recommended this restaurant by friends and were not disappointed. Walking distance from Grand Tremezzo hotel sits this small but friendly wine bar offering a great range of wines served with meats and cheeses. We chose to sample 5 wines each and were helped with our choice by the friendly waitress. We thoroughly enjoyed our sharing platter of meats... More

Food is basic wine bar fare; charcuterie platters and sandwiches. No salads or veggies were available. Cute atmosphere with wine barrel tables and friendly staff.

We really enjoyed Cantina Follie. The meat and cheese plates were very good portions and our group had very good wine, and an excellent artisnal beer. Service was attentive and friendly. We were there in the early afternoon and although I wouldn't consider this to be a "lively" bar scene, there were 8-10 other people there having nice conversations and... More

We thoroughly enjoyed a wine tasting at the Cantina. Most informative and decent servings of very good wines. Definitely worth a visit. Prices for take away surprisingly reasonable for the quality.

This is a fabulous wine hidden in an alley behind the crowded street of lake como in Tremezzo. Excellent choices of Italian and at reasonable price. The cold cut and cheese that accompany the wine was as well enjoyable. Lovely staffs with good recommendation too.

Please note, this isn't a restaurant! That did not stop us from making wine, cheese and charcuterie our dinner, however. :) The owner is kind and helpful and the terrace is very nice (despite the chain smokers at the next table over. Yikes.). They have a great selection of wines and their charcuterie and cheese features lots of superb local... More

So you visited the golden triangle at Lake Como and forgot about this place? Go back for another visit because you really missed out on a perfect place with the greatest wines. Even if you don't know your way around wine yet you still should go. The owners will introduce you into the world of this great fluid! To go... More
