As its off season this bar is only open on the weekend. It has a good website setting out opening times etc. We enjoyed our visit. Nice wines and very pleasant and engaging staff. While we didn't eat there we were served some complimentary "nibbles"of meat and cheese. It was a very cold night and so the cosy atmosphere of... More

We spent a week in Lake Como in Tremezzo. Lovely place and a relaxing holiday, however we found that a lot of the obvious restaurants to eat were not up to the standard we had come to expect of Italian food...they seemed to be a bit too generic and touristy. But not this place... It's basically a wine bar which... More

Absolutely delightful service which complemented the wonderful local food and wines. Sitting outside under the grape vines on the terrace was the perfect setting for a fabulous night.

What a gem! we had almost missed out on this but for a last minute change of plans. Great wine and food tasting experience. Perfect for a relaxed informal night nibbling away at meats and cheese whilst enjoying fine wine. Loved it.

Wonderful spot...tiny medieval cellars with tunnel like stairways, tables, bar and a covered rooftop patio. Oh, and wine everywhere....Very kewl. We had wine and cheese platters on the patio and hours passed before we realized it. Service is wonderful; the view from the patio is blocked by surrounding houses; a bit of a climb but well worth it. We'll be... More

Tucked away up some steps between restaurants and near to our hotel in Tremezzo. We visited three nights during our week's stay. My husband had lager but I always tried the flights of wines and enjoyed them all. It was the same young man who served us and he remembered what we liked and he was efficient and friendly. There... Cantina Follie is a small hidden gem in the middle of Tremezzo. It sits on the top of a narrow alley right which is right next to the Red and White Wine Bar. It is well worth climbing the stairs to visit. They offer wine tasting flights in quantities of 3, 4, or 5 glasses at a reasonable price. You... More

We were walking to our hotel, the Grand Tremezzo and asked the valet for the "best" local wine bar. He recommended Cantina Follie. It's up a long set of stairs, has no view whatsoever, but has a magnificent selection of wine, cheese and meat. We had cocktails, sampled the house wine ( which they do not produce) and antipasti. The... More

I think it's really important to understand, this is a really sensational wine bar with great appetizers. One would not come here with a full on appetite, nor come here expecting big meals. What is on offer is a seriously nice atmosphere to soak up some delightful Italian wines and munch on some lovely cheeses and meats etc to go... More
