Visited recently with husband, two friends and our baby daughters. We all had the taster menu which was fantastic in taste and we all agreed was also real value for money. We sat on the terrace and were treated to a series of delicious fish themed courses. Would recommend if you are in the area. Superb service as well and... More

Had a spectacular lunch here 2 years ago on a previous visit to the area. It was all we had dreamed of in a charming and un-touristy little local village. Perfect fish and pasta. Unusual local specialties. This visit showed the down side of media intervention. Somehow this little unpretentious place has gotten on the map (no thanks to Anthony... More

A beautiful restaurant! Go there and get the prefixed menu of local traditional fare. It was well worth the price. Not the best restaurant in Italy I have ever been to, but very good, beautiful inside, and so memorable. This area is known for the Alicci and tonno, caught from the boats outside. I have never had anything as fresh... More

We've visted Italy and Cetara many times over the years and have eaten at a number of great places. Basically the food here is amazing. The seafood is so fresh, it is caught that day as Cetara is a fishing village. The spaghetti vongoli and Napoli ragu is by far the best pasta we have tasted in Italy (even comparing... More

I loved Cetara. This place looked nice, yet unpretentious, with outdoor seating. Food was great. Service was OK. Don't miss the frescoes inside.

Al Convento delivers. Food is consistently great. If you're on a budget, you can just have a pizza. They're goood.. but you'll miss a lot. All the fish, tuna and anchovies of course since we're in Cetara, but also bass, bream, scampi, swordfish.. Any style, aquapazza, broiled, a la plancha. All the pasta, all shapes, all sauces (with or without... More

Pleasant outdoor terrace. We ate the menu with "local delicacies" basically tuna and anchovies, which was fine but not my favourite. We shared all the dishes and that made it interesting.

We read many positive reviews in tripadvisor about this restaurant and view negative ones (but most of the negativ ones from local italians). Since 5 years we visite the amalfi-coast frequently but had never been in the small picturesque town of Cetara. The town itself is a very nice fishermen-village and not touristy at all. The restaurant was easy to... More

I used to think of anchovies as those shriveled salty things that, for some unknown reason, are ground up onto pizzas, but which are better left untasted. This restaurant opened my eyes, and I have a newfound reverence for anchovies. When fresh and properly prepared, they are as rich and tasty as butter. Anchovies are certainly the main ingredient here,... More

Just go! (And do try the anchovy menu or...request no menu and enjoy what ever is good today) - Great hosts and the 'lemoncello route' is well worth the drive. We spent the night at Villa Franca in Positano which made a long, lazy lunch even better!
