A culinary gem in the Old City of Rhodes

Some friends and I discovered this lovely little place while roaming the scenic little roads of the Old city of Rhodes. There are two main things that separate this fish restaurant from others. We fled to this small fish tavern from a sudden downpour, and had a relaxing late lunch, and some laughs with the waiter. The octopus was salty and delicious, the wine and bread were yummy, and we could have sat for the rest of the day and just watch the locals gather in the little covered terrace for some food,... We had really excellent Greek salad and grilled fish and calamari washed down with beer. We had a complimentary pudding made by mama and we shared recipes on how to make the crystallized fruit! The restaurant next door had a man and an boy playing the accordion and a drum - with music from Zorba the Greek. Everyone seemed very... More

A very good restaurant in the heart of the Old City. Food is excellent, fish is always fresh. First they let you choose it (sea beam) from the fridge and then, after 30 minutes, they will bring it on your plate. Very nice staff and good service (dessert was free!)

This is a family business and the customers are usually local people. All the sea food is fresh and very delicious. Also you need to eat their tradational desert from the house before paying your bill. Sometimes you come across local musicians.

I dont only love the food served at Pizanias but I can certainly say that both me and my wife fell in love with the owners but lets start with the food. You can never expect what you will eat at Pizanias as this is dependant on what the fishermen will bring. At our last dinner we saw this first... More

The place is cozy and the staff is friendly!the food is fabulous and so are the prices. Enjoy the best of what the Rhodean cuisine has to offer. Be there early or book a table as the place is famous for its excellent dishes.

One of my favourite places on the island both for the place (a small square in a quieter part of the old town close to a mosque) , the food and the personality of the owner. We always go there for a selection of small fish dishes and salad combined with local retsina wine. The portions are small but usually... More

...cousine. The service is good but really slow, could be better. Great portion for the salad, the other could be bigger. The fish is good.
