Great local restaurant

We had dinner in the restaurant. Service was superb and the Greek appetizers, dishes and desserts that we ordered were very good.

Went three times to this restaurant for the great food, atmosphere and service. This is where the locals dine and for a good reason. Try dining "mezes" style with different smaller dishes instead of a plated dish :)

We were lucky to go to this taverna one afternoon, it meant we could go on our last night and last lunchtime. Fantastic. Food excellent, drinks good, waiters and waitresses lovely people. We highly recommend going here, you will not regret it.

One of our hotel staff recommend Koykus, on the final day of our holiday, (Sept 2014.) Telling us, it was their favourite place to eat and drink. We of course visited Koykus, that same evening. The first thing we noticed...No one was touting for custom, as most of the other eateries do. The place was bustling inside and out. Most... More

Perfect ambiance complemented with traditional daily items like a bycyle, house hold. The food was also very good.

After spending three weeks in Crete and being so impressed with the friendly and welcoming demeanor of staff at restaurants there, we certainly came back to earth last night at Kykos. In Crete even youngsters bringing us coffee at a tiny village taverna were smiling and happy. The young gentleman who showed us to a table and eventually took our... More

It's a bible quote, but it seems fitting given we were sitting in Koykos's outdoor area opposite a church. We went here two days ago, and while we enjoyed the food, the service made this meal a 2/5 experience. If you look through the older reviews, you will notice there are a few of us saying the same thing--the staff... More

This was near to our hotel, the Mitsis Grand, and tempted us away from our all-Inc deal. Food was authentic and beautifully cooked. Lots of smaller size dishes allow you to sample more widely. Very acceptable house red completed a very pleasant meal in this charming restaurant.

The first thing that catch your eye in the Koykos Cafe is the lovely decoration (parrot included!): guzukis hanging in the walls, original waiters' trays, etc. Second thing is the local clientele that gather around, always a good sign. And third, when you decide to take a seat here the quality of the Greek food served; we especially recommend the... More

Delicious and popular with locals. A place for people of all ages on a quiet pedestrian street. Amazing bakery too and lots of room for everyone.
