We have been here a few times now and it is a lovely place to have a beach day as there is no road noise. the family who run it are friendly and service is good. We have always enjoyed a nice lunch here.

If there is such a thing as a "madding crowd" in Petra then the beach by the Avlaki is far from it! Located round the headland by the Alma Hotel towards Anaxsos this is a nice gently shelving beach offering a more relaxed experience because unlike the main Petra "strip" it is away from the main road. The 10-15 minute... More

There are two places to eat on the beach by Alma hotel, but Avlaki is by far the nicest. Grab a sun bed, order a frappé or a meal and enjoy the beautiful view towards the sea.

We went a few times to this restaurant , this year as well as the last years and the food is very nice and tastfull. The service is good and there is a lovely terrace close to the beach. It is a little bit more expensive than others restaurants, but as I said, the food tastes very nice and they... More

This is one of 2 tavernas on a very small beach. There are about 20 sunbeds and a very 'eggy' smell. Dare I say it, a toilet type smell. The food however is very good but the smell is awful. It is worth a visit, not in the evening but in the daytime.
