We agree with the positive reviews on Simos. A very friendly owner and a lovely young man waiting on us, we sat upstairs in the garden deck -- much to the chagrin of the cat where we chose to sit. The owner brought up a tray of examples of the appetizers, which helped us as we are not experts on... More

My first meal in Santorini was at Simos Taverna. I got hooked on the Santorini salad (thanks Alex!). If you like tomatoes you've gotta try the dish! The grilled octopus was delicous, very fresh and very tender. Stuffed peppers was yummmm! I've had these dishes in many other restaurants in Santorini but nothing can compare to the one at Simon... Stumbled upon this restaurant on our last night in Santorini, and it ended up being the best meal of our stay. We had the eggplant, octopus salad and giant beans for starters, and stuffed tomatoes with seafood for main. Given a complimentary semolina cake for dessert which was fantastic. Service was great. We chose to eat in the downstairs part... More

Can't recommend this place enough! My husband and I love Greek food and were just after some traditional Greek which was harder to find than we thought. Simos was what we had been looking for! Despite the large menu (which often worries us) the food was delicious and clearly made with care. Service was fantastic and they even stopped us... More

We visited this restaurant three days in a row during our visit to Santorini in June. Food was great. We ate, fresh fried salmon, lamb in the oven, calamari, Greek meatballs. Just beware if you think the bread they leave on the table is complimentary, it it not. A lot of restaurants do this. Wine and beer are also inexpensive.... More

Enjoyed a quick drink here and the meals looked good. But didn't stay as we were headed into the main part of town. Staff were great but remember to check costs with them if they give you food (bread) you did not order.

We were recommended Simos by our hotel. Good Greek food enjoyed the Vine Leafs and Moussaka. Didn't appreciate the mains being served whilst we stil had our starters on the go, table full of food is a bit overwhelming! Good all the same would come back.

This restaurant was just up the street from our accommodation so the location combined with the good reviews meant that we tried it. It was good but very touristy - for example, the waiter explained the different appetisers using a tray of examples which was helpful but also seemed like a show - the experience was a little fake. The... More
