Enjoyed an assortment of traditional dishes (from the founder's recipes, grandfather of current owner) as part of a group dinner. They had tables right along the caldera wall, so our sunset meal was beautiful and savory. Make this your first and last place to dine in Firostefani.

My husband and I ate here during our recent trip to Santorini whilst staying in Firostefani after being recommended by one of the staff at our hotel. We found the food to be mostly traditional Greek dishes which were all gorgeous. I had the beef with tomato sauce (served with an eggplant puree) - which sounds basic but is anything... More

This small restaurant is a jewel; we probably wouldn't have found it but one night it was very windy, we needed to eat inside and the Homeric Poems Hotel staff sent us here.... wow! what a great find.... delicious locally sourced food and great moussaka, all beautifully cooked and presented with care. We will return!

We came back for a 2nd dinner, so it must be good! Food was Great, best we had in Greece in 9 days. Cheap n Good house wines - only 6euro for 500ml. Try sitting outside, and inside. A totally different feel n atmosphere. Both fantastic. Outside - caldera view, nice breeze. Inside - typical greek house with traditional settings,... More

One of the oldest restaurants in Santorini this is a family run business and well loved by locals and tourists. It gets booked up daily for lunch and dinner so booking is essential as we found as we couldn't get in the first night. Reasonable prices and fantastic food - this was one of our best nights in Santorini -... More

This is a wonderful restaurant. nearly 100 years old, it was the first restaurant in Santorini and its history and caring about food shows why it is still operating. We had a wonderful dinner with great staff and the moussaka is the best we have had anywhere. A must visit. The only restaurant we eaten at twice on our holidays.

Recommended by our hotel, it exceeded our expectations. The interior is very plain but we ate on the patio and a second time at a table across the pathway with a view of the water, and both were very pleasant. This a long established family business. The servers were both cordial and pleasant. In total, we ate 6 different meals,... More

I really liked this place for it's homey Greek plates. I got the moussaka baked in a clay pot - relish. My husband got the pork and rice, nothing fancy on the plating, but man was it delicious. Great ambience of family Greek restaurant. I would recommend highly.

We arrived late in the afternoon, got a table straight away and a very smiling and friendly waiter. We felt very welcome. Entree was to die for (hot white cheese in a little pocket, sauce with tomato and some wine I guess), mains (Greek salad and traditional pastas with cappers, cappers leaves, garlic, tomato) very good. Advice: If you are... More

Excellent food, traditional dishes with a personal touch. Very good service and friendly personel. Also in a very nice location, with spectacular view from the tables which are by the caldera. The restaurant itself is inside a traditional vault, the epitome of vernacular Santorini architecture.
