We had dinner here and the food was ok. Nice peaceful atmosphere away from the hub-bub of the port. Waiter acted as if he was doing us a favor by waiting on us. After dinner, we asked for the check which he brought us. Tradtionally in Greece, the will give you something afterwards. We noticed... read more

That was, by far, the worst restaurant i've been in Greece. It seems like the owner/waiter didn't want me there. I ordered a musaka, and my fianceè ordered a bacalhau (bacalao). She asked if the fish was cooked with vinegar. He laughed and act ironically. Then, he talked to a couple friend of him, that was sitting in front of... More

An awfull service and a terrible food. That was my experience in Taverna Barko, where the waiter treats tourists as idiots. I ordered a fried bacallao and I asked him if it comes with vinegar or onion, because I don't eat them. After he answered me, I felt he made a joke of me with a greek couple that was... More

We came across this restaurant while out walking and thought it looked interesting. Neither the food nor the service was outstanding. The waiter (owner?) was aloof but that didn't really matter as we were there for food, not to be humoured. Unlike others though, we did not have a great meal. My husbands lamb fell off the bone but the... More

Lets start with the bad: waiters are arrogant, yes: noone welcomes u on arrival, order is little delayed, if u ask 4 recommendation - waiter is not gonna b helpful... But when it comes to food... dear god! These guys do not have 2 b nice to have one of the best food in greece i have ever eaten, and... More

Barko is a restaurant to look for, since it is away from the main area, easy to find if you are determined and only a short, ten minute, walk. Very inexpensive, favoured by locals Take the main road leading North out of the centre of Ademas, towards Plaka (it passes by the Post office and a number of shops and... More

We were 7 persons with different feelings about this restaurant. The owner can come across as a bit too clever for his own good (patronising). The service was a bit slow at times, but on the whole the food was decent enough quality. The quality price is very good, the meal was very cheap compared with others on the front.... More

We used Barko's 2 or 3 times during 10 days stay. Standarf tavern food ibut nicely cooked and no patronising from the staff if you are not knowledgable about greek food. Well worth a visit and convenient for Adamas just a little way along the road tp Plaka

Delicious restaurant tucked up several blocks north of the waterfront on the road to Plaka. Totally worth the walk, quiet atmosphere, outdoor tables in a beautiful yard with shielding from the wind, delicious food at good prices. No hockers outside trying to pull tourists in. The lamb in the oven is especially good, as are the chickpea balls. We'd heard... More
