Pleasant surprise

Our Rick Steves guidebook warned that ambience, not food, is the reason for going to a restaurant in Roussillon, so we were pleasantly surprised that Café des Couleurs served a high quality lunch in addition to offering a great view. We were a family of 8 wanting to have lunch at midday and the two waitresses just ignored us as too busy eating their lunch. We went next door to spend our money instead. Bad rude service - cant comment on the food

Rousillion was my favorite town in the Luberon area. The food at Cafe Des Couleurs was very good and healthy. We had a Caeser Salad which was actually more like a Cobb salad, fresh OJ. The service was abominable. We were seated on the back area with a view which was lovely. It seemed as lunch service was ending but... More

seated outdoors on a main street. Daily specials of asparagus risotto and broiled chicken with fries and salad were satisfying. the restaurant is much bigger than it appears from the street - it goes through to outdoor seating in the back too. Don't be surprised if you have to wait a little while to get your food - there are... More

We ate lunch here one overcast afternoon but it didn't dim the fantastic view from the back patio. We had the Sunday lunch special which was lamb shanks. They were perfectly delicious and well accompanied by roast potatoes and veg plus a dessert as part of the prix fixe meal. It was all very satisfying and very well priced.

Our very honest and reputable tour guide suggests us go this restaurant. There is a fixe prix menu at 15.50 Euros for main plus desserts. WSe had tried to change to entrees + mains but was told it must be mains + desserts, and we will still be paying 15.50 Euros with no desserts. We opted for grilled lamb as... More

We ate here in late September and found it to be a fairly poor representation of French cuisine. We arrived at Café Des Couleurs at around 10PM, and are seated in the back patio with a wonderful hillside view. I go for a grilled steak, to be safe and my wife has scallops Milanese. A big disappointment especially on the... More

While we had a recommendation for another neighboring restaurant, there was a long wait time and we headed in here and were very pleased. The views are equally wonderful of the ochre hills across the valley; the food and the service were better than expected is such a touristy town. The salads were fresh, the bread was fresh, and the... More

We wanted a fairly quick and not expensive dinner not to far from our b&b in Saint Saturnin Les Apt so we drove to Roussillon to Cafe des Couleurs. We were seated outside on the terrace overlooking the square and had two excellent meals, Provencal stew with a lovely salad and a delicious pork roasted in beer with potatoes. We... More

We stayed 4 nights in Roussillon and had lunch twice here. All the places we ate at here were great. But this was our choice for food. I had the assiette Fracais one day. Fantastic, sliced courgettes oil, parmasen, tomatoes. So simple, €8.
