Lovely evening with friends

This was not our first choice of restaurant but all the others were fully booked. The decor is taste full but there is always a hushed atmosphere in here. The food is well presented and tasty. The menu we had was a bit heavy on garlic dishes not many options if you didn't want it. The staff were... read more

Guaranteed a warm welcome from Brigitte, we have stayed and eaten here several times now and value the comfortable accommodation and secure parking in the heart of this wonderful little historic walled town. The food is well cooked and presented and very very French, so no surprises there, and the breakfasts are beautifully laid out with varied and delicious ingredients,... More

We have dined at this hotel on at least three different trips to France. The dining room is tastefully decorated. For dinner one night I selected a menu. It consisted of a pumpkin soup with grilled slices of duck breast. Next was a duck breast in port wine sauce. Carrots and potatoes were mashed together. For dessert I chose a... More

I have rated the restaurant as average because it attempts to be something it isn't. The prices are high - we paid 38 euros for an average three course meal. Additionally the staff are indifferent to complaints. My rack of lamb was very poor and consisted mainly of bone. I asked if the chef was happy to present this and... More

We are here as we were staying at the hotel with the aim of a gastronomic weekend. Despite other reviews we found the food and wine very good. The cooking was to a high standard, imaginative and very well presented. It was the equal of the other restarants we visited over the weekend.

If you are on vacation or if you have a short visit like a weekend around Montreuil Sur Mer and you want to enjoy a lunch or dinner in a very good restaurant the alternative is Le Cocqempot. Good quality in tipical french restaurant. It's expensive above the average.

Really surprising and delicious food. Great service and I thought good value for money. The food looked amazing with those caviar balls of deliciousness. Inventive and fantastic taste. The dining room is classically french and fun.

Very reasonably priced menu but beautifully presented, delicious food. The quality of the tableware and excellent service all added to a superb meal.

The food was individually prepared and served. Gluten free was no problem. Dining takes place is in two handsome rooms of the traditional old building. There is a tiny bar and it l is all very cosy!

Both starters (seafood) were out of this world however the sea bass main course was average: slightly overcooked and tasteless with very overcooked vegetables. The lamb was the French version of British medium-rare, ie overcooked. Nevertheless, it was all very nice and if you're there in the summer, the garden is stunning to sit in and it's an amazing venue.... More
