Traditional French restaurant with traditional French food

This is a traditional style French restaurant with elegant dining rooms. The menu is similarly traditional French but very well executed. Though the host sometimes needs warming up! Simple fare adequately priced, sort of soup + bread, and quiche

Delicious well cooked traditional northern French cuisine, including Foie Gras and guinea fowl. Be warned this is a heavily meat based menu, but if you are a carnivore you'll love it.

This restaurant reminded us of why we return to France. This restaurant has an elegant dining room and lovely food yet not too intimidating. We chose from the fixed menu and were not disappointed.

This is a lovely atmospheric place in the heart of the town. The 29 euro menu had a super choice of dishes, and what we had (mussels, duck) was beautifully cooked and presented. The service was also very attentive without being intrusive or over the top. And there was a good choice of wines too. Worth making a booking rather... More

I have eaten at Le Coquempot on several occasions and have never been disappointed with the quality of the service and the excellent food. Good value for money. Good range of dishes and moderately priced wines.

Mu husband and I stayed for one night at the Coq Hotel on 18/4 (attached -separate review) and decided to book a table in the hotel restaurant. From the moment we went in to the bar for pre dinner drinks we were made to feel extremely welcome. We were given the menus at that point which allowed us to browse... More

Reading reviews on Trip Advisor my friend and I decided to eat here yesterday evening. I don't know what went wrong, but the food was unbelievably bad. We started with soup - I don't know what it was or was meant to be - it was thick, lukewarm, a pale sort of peach colour and slightly sweet. I couldn't eat... More

Was very impressed with the high standard of food here. The intricate starters were particularly impressive and the duck main course superb!

The restaurant is part of Le Coq Hotel but trades independently too. So you can eat there without staying in the hotel (though we were doing both). The son, Remi, of the owners has now taken charge of the menus. There are two (priced at €28 and €38) instead of 3 previously. We had the more expensive, with scallops as... More
