Quirky decor in this central small restaurant (owner is a big Rugby Union fan). All three courses for both of us were superb. The prix fixe menus are excellent value, and so is the wine. Made to feel very comfortable throughout the meal. I would definitely return.

Really there is not much more to say than the title!! The rugby memorabilia gave the restaurant extra interest (the chef is a big Stade Francais fan!). The staff were very polite about our dreadful attempts at French and the whole lunch experience was thoroughly enjoyable. This is fast becoming our first choice restaurant whenever we make the trip down... More

This is a very popular restaurant within the town and it is often necessary to book during peak periods. The menu is wide ranging with a good selection of dishes with menus available for 22, 29 and 40 euros. We decided to select from the 22 and 29 euro menus and were not disappointed with either. There is also a... More

Here with my wife on Friday night, very comfortable if quirky ambience really liked the Rugby regalia and the history on the walls. The menu choice was, thank goodness, not overly long with some clear signature dishes based around local produce. The langoustines in orange butter were very good and the trio of salmon likewise with generous portions. Mains of Sea... More

We returned to Montreuil after a gap of nearly a year, to celebrate a family birthday. We enjoyed a wonderful meal, with a warm welcome, good wine, and excellent service. There really isn't much more to add! We made varying choices: my daughter in law and I enjoyed the langoustines in orange sauce, and I found my steak some of... More

We have had a holiday home in Attin, just outside Montreuil Sur Mer for almost a year now. Since then, we have eaten in various restaurants in the town. Over the New Year period, most restaurants were closed and we found this one by sheer chance. What a find!! Cannot believe we have been there for almost a year and... More

Tucked away in the old town ( Ville Haute ) of Montreuil sur -Mer this restaurant provides all that one would hope for from a traditional, family run, provincial French restaurant. We did not have a booking, but were so lucky that when we arrived, there had just been a cancellation. We were seated at a nice, large table near... More

France is famous for its many little restaurants everywhere, and this is one of the best. Sublime food, good wine and very good service, all at a very reasonable price (about 100€ for 2). Montreuil-sur-mer, the home of the Wine society in France, is only 45 miles or so from Calais - almost worth a day trip just for Le... More

I'm surprised that this restaurant occupies the #1 slot on Trippy, as it was nowhere close to the experience we enjoyed at other restaurants in Montreuil. It's got a confused ambience, with a few hundred baseball caps dangling from the ceiling as though it was an American sports bar, but then it had the dark furniture and décor of a... More

We visited this restaurant this week upon the recommendation of our hosts in a local chambres d'hôte. I had booked one week in advance a table for two and was disappointed to find that the only table available was next to the kitchen door. There were other guests from our accommodation who had booked their table only two hours previously... More
